Course is still cart path only which sucked but they say this weekend (11/08/08 back to fully open)
THE GREENS ARE ON FIRE AT THE VINEYARD!

and the bugs are gone, they don't like the cold.....

played yesterday 10/25/08, we were 5 off the box, still played a 5 hour and 10 min round..
greens were very bumpy, 17th is a temp, they are rebuilding it
16th has heavy ball mark damage and it looks as if they tried to transplant parts of it. worse green on entire course(even worse than the temp green)
Pro-shop had no power b/c of recent fires, no snack bar or restraunt open b/c of this.....
fairways were ok, course is wide open so you can bang it.
course played much longer than the 6855 on the card, no roll and lots of elevation changes make it fun, back nine plays into the wind making for some monster holes. . .
shot 77 and had a blast with my dad...
worth the green fee, as long as you remeber you get what you pay for :)

Played there about 2 weeks ago while in Vegas on Vacation, they had just reopened from over overseed and aeration and OMG the course was beautiful.
My fiance and I played, had a 10am tee time, was deff a 5 hour round which totaly sucked but the views and vistas keep you occupied. . .
Tiger Woods hold the course record, its cool they put his scores for each hole on the Scorecard, its like you can play a match with Tiger!
Don't worry he torched me, but I did break 80!
Greens were nice, fast but you could hold shots. . . Very playable
Sand was immaculate, I was in 3 bunkers got up and down from all 3, very consistent..
Only problem of the day was that we got paired up with a guy who got a "Tee Mate" which is a "dancer" from one of Harrah's shows in Vegas, in our case X-burlesque...
It would have been cool but like I said I was with my Fiance....
All in all will go back when I'm in Vegas, it is a MUST PLAY!

I have played this course many times...it seems that the drainage ditches are still there, I don't kow what to say but, yea drainage ditches on the front nine......

nice people in the pro-shop and bar...
driving range is ok, open late and they have a light on the chipping/green so you can work on stuff at night
overall I will never stop playing the TrailS!!!

Played last week on Wednesday, the greens were half aerified and the pin placed on the good half.
They actually did it right! Cup was on smooth part of green.....
The course played firm and true. . .
Ryan in the pro-shop was very helpful, he showed me a great deal on Footjoy shoes
the girl in the bar was cute and very friendly, the burger wasn't the greatest....but it did fill me up and was fast....
played with my dad and a buddy, great track to play skins lots of risk reward holes.
front 9 is tight, and the back 9 opens up for the bombers......
can't beat the price
