Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Regarding the burned out look upon entry, I understand that Cross Creek has been hit hard by the regional water cutback an are trying to get by on only 70% of the water that they used to get. They say that they are changing out sprikler heads to better use the water that they do get. (Focusing on fairways and greens and letting go of the roughs and driving range. TGardner says they will also begin a 'reconditioning' program in Oct. so things should look better for the winter. I played the week of Aug 23 and it played much better than it did in July, so the new water plan must be working. Now if they can stop the owner from screwing with the architecture, (filling in bunkers, adding lakes and water wheels, etc) it might get back to the gem it was.
