Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!ha ha ha welcome to the new ownership way of producing golf. Eveyone complained about the conditions when palmergolf managed it. now look what it has become once a private small family runs it. Palmer wasn't so bad where they?
I told you this was going to happen in a review about a year ago. Look at the thread reviews and you can read it then. the course will continue to do a down ward spiral to destruction.

in response to kendall from walnut. it's a poor trumpet player that blames his instrument. and any fungus that you saw on the greens maybe got there from your feet. The course is great I play there all the time.
in regards to peacetrain. yes, it's true. palmer sold it remainder of thier lease to another company. Palmer has decided to make a change in thier portfolio from manage contracts to ownership. They have dumped thier interest in all county GC's. Victoria sold off too. The county believes all thier golf courses should be maintained to "augusta" standards which they should but you can't do that on the 21.00 green fee. it's not profitable to be involved with these types of contracts. so they dumped them. but it's not going to get better. when palmer pulled out it also took with it it's huge buying power for products and huge discounts. one off companies won't be able to do it any cheaper. there is one born every minute.
course is in great shape. they are doing great improvements to get ready for the season. greens are going though aerification(that time of the year) so they are bumpy you expect this in the summer in the desert. what do you expect when you play a 140 dollar golf course in season for 39 summer rate. If you want great greens then play in the winter and fork out 140. All in all great experience. you get what you pay for an I am happy paying 39 it's a deal.
In response to "bluefortydeuce" the issue with the fairways (which 2 fairways on the south course and 3 on the north which are a problem) is salt. There is a current problem wih salts pulling up from 6 feet below the surface. Currently an extensive dranage system is in the works to correct this problem. Opening after this years overseeding in late 2006 they will be completed and back to 100%.
I read the comments and all I hear is b@tch, b@tch, b@tch. it's a county golf course. it does 115K rounds a year. it shows the wear. All I can say is if your unhappy about the golf course go someplace else. this market has enough golfers who want affordable golf expect these conditions. if you want better course conditions then pay more in greens fees. you get what you pay for. a 31.00 green fee is a 31.00 golf course. If you don't like it go to orange county and pay 115.00 then you get the course conditions you want. but I think you'll b@tch about that too.
