I thought that the course layout alone made it worth the green fees. It was definately nice having someone in my foursome who had played there before. The greens weren't extremely fast, but they rolled very true. The overall experience was great.

I have played Oceanside a few times in the past few months, but don't enjoy the course enough to play there on a weekly basis. The fairways were quite bad for a while following that rainy season this winter, but are back in pretty good condition now. There are still a few spots where hitting the fairway may still leave you an approach out of the dirt, but not many. The layout is good, with plenty of dog legs and once you get to the green, it's not nearly as bad as other course I have played in the area. The back nine has a few more chances for birdie than the front, and also offers more interesting scenery.
