The course is and has been in poor playing shape for a few months. They have tried verticutting fairways and now they have aerated the fairways and the greens. They have very poorly maintained sand traps. The desert grass is not maintained and it is easy to lose a ball being just off of the fairway as there is no rough. The greens will take 2-3 weeks to recover from the aeration and only one coat of top dressing has been used. It seems that the sand was used vs. dry sand. I am not sure that the superintendent knows what to do and he seems understaffed. There are better courses to play in the area and they charge the same or less. I would not rate this a 5 star golf course as they state that they are...low rating of a 2.0
