the previous reviews were accurate. Wine Valley has large, undulating greens that are receptive to good iron shots (but still have plenty of rollout if there is no spin).

The fairways are firm & fast, even in the winter.

I love the four main Bandon courses & Chambers Bay, but $ for $ WV is the best links course in the Northwest. (in Jan 2015 Bandon was about $100 per round, Chambers $115, and WV $30.)

You don't need an ocean view to have true links.
