Played 10/12. Never played here before and didn't even know it existed as part of the Griffith Park golf courses until a friend suggested we play here. There wasn't a single review of the course here on GK and wondered if it was going to be a dump. What a pleasant surprise this course turned out to be. Its hidden up in the hills near the Griffith Park Observatory. The course winds through a canyon and you feel like you are taking a hike through a mountain park. A few holes have tee shots that are blind shots up a hill, but have a flag at the crest of the hill as a target and then your second shot is a dogleg one way or the other downhill to the green. The course was in beautiful condition and my only criticism is that the greens are rather flat, but otherwise smooth and quick. A FUN 9-holes.

Played here Sunday morning. It was my first time and wasn't sure what to expect since I had heard horror stories about how slow it can be. Had a 9:30 tee time but didn't get out until 10:15. It was slow, but moved along and didn't have to wait except for waiving up on the par 3's. The tee boxes were in pretty good shape because it looks like they move the markers around alot. The problem there is then you aren't sure what the exact yardage is on the par 3's. The fairways were smooth and the rough wasn't too bad - just enough to make you suffer a bit for not hitting the fairway. The greens were in good shape, but they are flat as pancakes!! It was a fun course and I'd play here again.

Played here Saturday 6/28. We had a 12:21 tee time, but didn't get out until 12:50 due to lack of golf carts - there was a tournament in the morning and had to wait for carts to come in from the course. The tee boxes were a bit hacked up (except at the red tees). The greens were a disaster of unrepaired divots and old divot scars, and some were soft, squishy and slow while others were dry and fast, all of which made putting pretty difficult. Overall, I enjoyed the layout of the course, with the doglegs and bunker placement, and found it a nice challenge in course management.

I played the 18-hole executive course on 5/26. It was a bit claustrophobic with the holes so close together. The greens are the size of postage stamps, but otherwise great short-game practice. By the way, the front nine of the regulation course is shut down for a major overhaul - don't know for how long.

Played here Saturday May 3rd. I joined a group with a 9:40 tee time and they sent us out 5 minutes early. The course was in good shape and fairways were pretty smooth, but the greens still haven't completely recovered from the recent aeration. Pace of play was good, only a short wait at one hole - the first par 3- but it was a short wait. Finished in just under 5 hours.

Got out right at our designated tee time as a twosome. The course was in great shape, fairways lush and beautiful, greens smooth and somewhat fast. It was pretty windy when we first teed off, but it eventually died down about mid-way through the round. What a fun course!! Drove 65 miles to get there and it was worth it!! The only complaint I had was that they need more ball washers; they were only placed about every third hole.

Had a 12:30 tee time, but didn't get out until almost 1:00 because of players waiting for carts. Expected a long round, and got it - just over 5 hours. The course overall was in pretty good shape. The fairways were smooth and the rough was long in some places but not brutal. The greens were a mess though thanks to people not repairing their ball marks and had to play to a few alternate greens that were very dry. I've seen it better and I've seen it worse, but about what you expect from a heavily-played muni course.
