Torrey South's fairways are the best in San Diego. However, the bunkers were inconsistent and it want of more sand. We teed off at 2:10 and a lot of the bunkers had wet sand. With the steep bunker lips they need more sand so you can get under the ball. "Nuff said.
And now the rough, although it was cut down, there are areas where if you hit your ball in the only way you will find it is if you step on it. Hitting out of the rough is a big boy job, don't get greedy like me... I usually shoot in the mid/lower 80's but left the course with a 97, sadly I felt proud to have broken 100... The green were rather slow for TP and I left a ton of putts short. Still, Torrey is the greatest test of golf around for the money. Leave your ego in the car...or you'll feel like Tiger on ambien haha
