Played this morning and were the third group out. Teed off just after 6 and we were finished by 9:30. Greens are coming back and should be perfect in a week or two.

As indicated in pior posts, this course is better than Alondra and Victoria, but the pace of play is slower than both of those places. I think its more of a Hackers Haven than anything else. We played Sunday and ended up just joining the threesome ahead of us to make a sevensome and we still played faster than the group ahead of us.

Played Monday, 07/05/10, hoilday rates applied, teed off at 5:36 a.m., done before 9:30. Sort of the Alondra of the Valley, wide open fairways, big greens that do not undulate very much. Good course to stretch out and improve your score. Overall, course was in pretty decent shape, greens were nice and the fairways did not have a lot of bare spots.

Played Sunday, 6/27/10, 2:20 start time. Beautiful course, wind really did not play a factor. We were not pushed at all, nor did we have to wait to hit at any hole. Played no. 18 from "the volcano" which stretched it to like a 550 yard par 4 (!) Strongly suggest that if you play this course, play no. 18 from up top, great view!!

Played 11/07/09. Tee'd off at 6:45 a.m. and finished approx. 12:15 p.m., I thought the course was in terrific shape for a muni and the greens were especially nice. They had been recently punched and sanded and the work really paid off.

I have to say that Alondra has improved tremendously over the past six months. I think they brought in a new greenskeeper who has done a fabulous job. You can actually see the cut of the fairway and the rough on th holes now and the greens are in great shape. We play really early so I can't comment on the pace of play. We have been teeing off at around 5:20 a.m. and we are done before 9:00 a.m. Its great.

8 of us played Memorial Day. We were the first two groups out. It was the first time we played the course and heard all about its links style and glowing reviews. We were not disappointed. Fantastic course. There was no wind. You cannot walk this course. You must ride a cart. If you walk, you will walk through dirt and sand and your shoes and push cart will be ruined. Anyways, an all around great experience. We will be back.

"juniors" (12 and under) must be certified to play. If no certification, no play.
