Played the course today for the 1st time. Really enjoyed the course. They just punched the greens last week, but green are coming back pretty good. Good variations on the the layout, some wide open holes combined with target golf holes. For me, back 9 are more fun than the front 9, the afternoon wind makes harder though.
Only complaint: I was 45 mins early want to hit some balls but found out the course has no Range, only the hitting nets.
Their HOT DOG is HUMONGOUS :-D. Friendly staff. Certainly will be back!!!

Played here last Friday. Honestly, I’m not very impressed by this course, the design and layout it less interesting to its younger brothers of Preserve and Saddlebrook Ranch. However, the course is soo busy that my tee time actually got bumped up 15 mins earlier because they have no place to put me for rest of the day.
As far as the course itself, it’s good but could be better. The fairway is well maintained considered the golf traffic on this course, I noticed that 85% of the divots on the tee box and fairway are being fixed & sanded, which indicated the golfers on this course are very respectful and helping the staff to maintain the course condition as best as possible. The green is hard and fast, and bunkers are very very hard, which I supposes is caused by early summer heat of Arizona. Not many water Hazards; the elevation changes from hole to hole is relatively flat. Many people said this is the hardest course to play among all saddlebrook courses; however I felt this was misleading. Over all a B+ course.

Played this course 25th Apr, the course is in a good condition, three 9 holes altogether. Fairways are lush and greens are kinda fast. However the course doesn’t have range, only putting greens for warm up. A lot of water hazards come into play especially on Par 3s, but its really fun.
I played with a gentleman who played this course during his high school years in 60’s, so I got to know a little bit of history of this course. This course used to be call Scottsdale country club with only two 9 holes on the west of Hayden Rd, and about 15 years ago they added another 9 hole on the east of Hayden Rd. Arnold Palmer modified the course during that time as well. To my opinion the newly added course is more fun to play because its water hazard. Overall, l liked this course a lot, will return for another round of golf.

I’m surprised no one reviewed this course before, played there first time last Sunday and I had a blast. The course is next to a state trusted land and the views on many holes are gorgeous, although it’s a golf/community course, not many houses were built and that leaves the view of wildland even better. As the course itself, the layout is typical desert course, thus requires accurate ball placement, it is quite windy out there, and I’ve been told by the staff it is constantly windy like this. The bunker sand is kinda hard and I often find a lot of small pebbles inside of the trap, the greens are very hard and fast :( However the good news are, not many blind shots and there are some very interesting Par 3s out there to enjoy, particularly the signature #6. Overall, nice course, would return for another round.

Played this course on 19 Mar, OK course, could be and should be in much better condition. 1st, they need to move the range to somewhere else, its right next to 2 fairways with no stopping-net what so ever. 2nd, too many people were on the course, there are two many balls everywhere. took us almost 6 hrs to finish the course. overall I like the design and layout of this course, couple of interesting holes. I would play here again if the current management improves the condition of the course.

Played this course for the first time, the layout uses the terrain very well. Personally, I like the back nine, not only because they are harder but rather more interesting and playable than the front nine. Both fairways and sand bunkers are in decent shape, however the greens are hard and would not hold on to the ball at all, but on the other hand, no ball marks to be found on the green either (LOL). Good value and fun course.

Beautiful course! I have been in Tucson for few years now and never played this course until yesterday. I noticed three features of this course that set itself apart from other Tucson courses. First, this one is NOT a desert course (which I’m not a big fan of). Second, a lot of trees, and for some holes, the trees are making the fairway even narrower, so you really need put the ball right in the middle. Third, many dog-left holes, nearly half of holes are very or somewhat dog-left.
Being this time of the year, the fallen leaves covered up the rough makes ball finding effort much harder, but also adding a lot of foliage color to the course, which makes the course beautiful in my opinion.

Two days after the rain, Course was in horrible condition, wet and mudy spot everywhere. Especially, on hole 12, there is no more fairway, mud, mud and more mud. tee boxes were in the worst shape. Hole 16 was a PAR 5, now it is a PAR 3, rough is too high for most of fairways, This course needs alot of care. They need to rebuild the draining system, if there is one! The only OK spot are the greens and bunkers!!! I have played here several times, this was one of my top courses in the area, I have never seen anything like this and it's sad to see it in this condition.
