Played a very quick (4:15) round this morning at 8:15 AM. I got there at 8 AM and jumped out with three others as a single. This course was in pretty good shape - much better shape than Knollwood that I played yesterday. The greens were very challanging; they were fast and firm with lots of break. I can hardly remember a flat put. One warning: IT GETS d%mn HOT by 12:00 PM.

The course was not in very good shape. Greens were OK, Fairways very average, Tee Boxes very, very poor! We got off with a 3:00 tee time and finished 18 easily. The course layout is great. It is too bad that the course is not in better shape. At 3:00 (twilight rate), we were able to play and ride a cart for $19.50 per person. Overall, it was well worth the $20.00. If you are looking for a bargain, this is it, just don't expect too much as far as course conditions go.

Enjoyed Rancho today. I got out as a single at 10:15 AM. The round went pretty quick, about 4 1/2 hrs. I got the feeling however that this course usually plays a lot slower. Probably slow enough to make some golfers miserable. So for a fairly quick pace at Rancho, if you can, get out on a Monday morning.

The course was in OK shape. The greens were soft and a bit slow. The Tee boxes, fairway and rough were all pretty good. The only real bad thing was the unrepaired ball marks on the green. Putting got a little bumpy, but I guess that is be expected at a LA Public Course.

It was well worth $21.00 I would play it again for sure!
