Driving Range is pretty standard, off mats to target greens. Practice putting green is nice and large. There is a smaller practice green that actually allows for chipping adjacent to the first hole. Not a large area by any means, but glad they had it.

The tee boxes were mostly level and green. No bare spots or heavy play. The fairways were beautiful, lush, and tight, allowing plenty of roll. Fairways were a little moist, in spots, but no standing water. The rough is quite thin and yellowing Bermuda in a lot of areas. Not very penalizing, but takes away from the beauty a little bit. The greens were pretty good sizes and beautiful. No bare spots, rolled well, not a lot of ball marks, but a little on the slower side. There is no GPS on the carts, which is a bummer. Bunkers were beautiful and fluffy. There is a lot of water, which is great, unless you are in it. There is no beverage cart, but the turn is next to the clubhouse, where you can stock up. The bar/restaurant area is gorgeous and has great A/C. The staff is very friendly.

I have always liked this course and would definitely recommend it.

I have always loved this course. It is not very long (6300 from tips), but it definitely has its defenses. It's a Pete Dye course, so of course it does. First, it is VERY narrow. A lot of holes have parallel fairways, so that is not as penalizing as it could be, but it's difficult enough. There are A LOT of pine trees, hence the name. There are plenty of holes with water, which is always fun. Finally, the greens! The greens are insanely undulated and fast, especially downhill. On this day, 06/19/22, they weren't nearly as quick as they usually are, but they are clearly having some severe issues with several greens, which is a real bummer. I swear there is not a flat spot on any greens, therefore no matter where they put the pins, it's sick. Overall, I was very disappointed with the condition of the greens, for the most part. I heard, recently, that the county sold the course to a developer who is going to build affordable housing on the site. That is a doggone shame. Another gem bites the dust in Vegas. So, I assume they aren't going to be putting a whole lot of effort in keeping this course in the pristine condition it usually is, because it is short-time. The fairways were beautiful and tight. A lot of the greenside bunkers were a bit soggy, but playable. The tee boxes were pretty nice and mostly level. The two-tiered, lighted, driving range is still great. I don't think they should have wasted the money to change the astroturf to real grass, since they aren't taking very good care of it, but that's just aesthetics. They provide different height rubber tees for the mats, so that's good. The putting green is narrow, but it's long and well maintained. Same goes for the chipping area. The beverage cart made several trips around and the restrooms were well maintained. I do like the bar/restaurant area and the prices are decent. I will miss this course.

I played the Mountain Course (Angel Park), Las Vegas, on May 28, 2022.

This course is always gorgeous, awesome, and challenging! Arnold Palmer is a fantastic designer. The tee boxes are some of the best in town, but sometimes suffer from the same disease as most courses, for some reason; lack of levelness. I will just never understand why that is so difficult for most courses. However, like I said, this is one of the better courses. The fairways were beautiful, the rush was thick, plush, and beautiful, and the greens, as always, were fast. Even though they had just aerated the greens a week prior, they were healing very well and were in pretty good shape, considering. I have no doubt that they are back to their regular pristine condition by now. The bunkers were decent. The practice area is very good. I would say excellent, except in all my years of coming here, I have never once been able to hit of the driving range grass. Even though there is grass, it is always off the mats.

I highly recommend this course and will definitely be back. The OB Sports Card will definitely pay for itself.

I played here on June 6, 2022. I have always loved this course. The layout is fun and definitely challenging, but also can be forgiving and getable, as well. The course was in fantastic shape, as usual. They have everybody teeing off on the par 3 7th, for some reason, and have been doing so for a little while, now. I'm assuming it's too speed up play. The GPS in the cart worked great, but the carts were struggling with power and they advised to pump the accelerator numerous times to kick it into gear. I don't know if that had to due with the amount of use they are getting (not getting charged enough between rounds), or if they are affected by the heat. Yah, electric vehicles are great! :(

The tee boxes are pretty good and mostly level. The fairways were mostly great, but some holes had some smallish areas that were struggling. The rough was plush, beautiful, and penalizing. The greens were immaculate and relatively quick. The beverage cart came around several times. The bunkers were fantastic! They recently completely overhauled them and it looks like it was well done.

The practice facilities are some of the best in town. I just love this course and hope they continue to take great care of it, like they've always done. Now the the sister course (Siena) is in excellent condition, the Players Card is really going to pay for itself!

I highly recommend this course and can't wait to come back.

The course was in fantastic shape!, for the most part. It was a little bit soggy in spots, which didn't really affect play, except for in the bunkers. Where the bunkers were dry and groomed, they were great and fluffy. Where they were exposed to some of the overwatering, they were too wet, puddled, and/or hard as a rock where it turned into mud and dried. The greens were rolling excellently and quickly (approximately 10 on the stimp, if I had to guess). They were in extremely great shape, with not too many ball marks, but, as every course has, there were plenty of hacks that are either too fat, too lazy, and/or too stupid and disrespectful to fix there ball marks. So, I was repairing mine, plus 5 on most of the greens. The rough was thick and lush and, therefore, penalizing. That contributes to making the course look so well, but sure does increase the difficulty if you are spraying it off the tee. The beverage cart came around often, on this day, but there wasn't a ton of play going on at the time. The carts and GPS worked great! I have always really liked/enjoyed this course, but there have been times where I have loved it. Today was one of those days. My ONLY complaint has always been the practice area. The driving range is excellent, as well as the putting green. However, there is no chipping area and that is unacceptable. There is plenty of room for them to create one. The fact that they never have is a head-scratcher. With the Players Card, this was only $43 and worth every penny. I will be back!
