Drive up to a clubhouse that is perfect for the area. There's an instant serenity that helps prepare you for your round. The facilities are so wonderfully planned.

The course features undulating fairways, and I mean UNDULATING!! Accurate hitting helps you find a flat or two from which to launch your approach shot.

The greens are in pretty good condition. The roll is true, and there are enough features on each surface to keep you studying as you prepare to putt. Putt from one spot, there's a slight break to the left. Move the ball 2 feet to your left, and there's a barely visible ridge to contend with. Very nice, very nice...

This course just feels good. i love it. Even with the high school marching band's drum corp working on their beats. (school across from 2, 3 &4...)

Staff is incredibly nice. Greens grooming is about the worst I've ever seen. Now, mind you, I know how to operate the mowers, adjust them, etc, and I've done the job myself. These greens are not well kept. Course is a great goof if you're with friends just kicking it. WATCH OUT FOR THE COP SITTING AT THE END OF QUILL!! go slow to the entrance or YOU WILL GET A TICKET! One of my group did once.

Go to Rio Hondo and pay the extra bucks....
