Golf Course Reviews
Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!I played Stonecreek Golf Club yesterday (5/13/17) What a terrific course. It was in great shape, especially considering the weather we've had this winter and spring. The course is known for draining well and it certainly showed. The fairways and greens showed no signs of water. In fact, I only found one muddy spot and it was behind number 18.
The front 9 is fairly wide open and fun. The back 9 is more tight and challenging. My only complaint is that number 15 is too tight. Not a lot of landing area. Otherwise, a good course with fast, true greens. I'd certainly play it again. The low ratings this course has received on this website is surprising The course is inexpensive. The layout is fun and challenging. The course was in terrific shape despite terrible, long term weather. This course is at least an 8 on a bad day.
Complaint: The tee box on 14 needs work. It's underneath trees so that may be the issue. But it needs flattening. Otherwise, the tee boxes on the course were good.
Edit: I'm not sure how the website came up with its rating, but the 7.4 it has figured is way too low. Considering the weather and the shape of my home course, I'd give yesterday's trip up north a 9. I'll be back!
