Re: Previous poster....This course is junk...The only thing good was the tee box and greens. No one greeted anyone....range is closed....temp green....play 10-17 as 18 is closed. Then play 2-9 and finish on #1. The fairways are either dead, dying or hard pan...Bunkers were ok...Pace of play 5+ hours. I would rather play Diamond Valley or anywhere else...Paid $65 and got ripped off.

Played on 5/19, course wasn't bad except tee boxes hadn't been cut in days, lots of standing water in bunkers and fairway. Problem was the same as it always is. SLOW PLAY>>> It took 3 hrs to play the front 9, no marshall to be found...My biggest problem was the first cart they gave me, the GPS wasn't working. So they give me a cart with a low battery and assure me they will come out and exchange it by the 3rd or 4th hole.....Never showed up but the cart still had enough juice for a while. Called them from the 5th hole, cart dying fast, they ask if we can make it to the turn and I tell them......Maybe. I give them the cart number and they assure me that they will exchange the cart for a good one. I finally make it to the turn and they inform me that they have no carts available but that they will bring one out shortly. Finally after the cart dies on # 11, we call again and this time they finally send out a new cart. In the meantime, the group that was holding up play the front 9 catches and passes us (we skipped stopping at the snack bar to get in front of these morons). Now we have to wait on every shot, every tee and we finally finish in a little under 6 hours. Having had this same discussion with the owner in the past, I decided to just go get some dinner. Moral of the story...THIS OWNER IS ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING AS MUCH CASH AS HE POSSIBLY CAN AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS. I won't be fooled again. Rant Mode Off.

Played today, 6/25 after playing the Firecliff course, I must say I was pissed off at the diference....Play was extremely slow, bunkers were never raked, tee boxes were crowned with torn up areas, greens were slow, bumpy and not very true. Played 6/24 on Firecliff in 3:30, walked off Mountain View after 4+ hrs and 4 holes to play....Skip this course and play Firecliff instead.

Played on 6/24, course was awsome, people were very nice and I had a great time...However, the greens were not as good as the rest of the layout, bumpy, slow and not very true....That being said, I'd go back in a heartbeat....Just the opposite of the Mountainview layout (read the post)

Played yesterday, started out good, all the staff were very nice and professional. After that the trouble started. Got to the range and found it to be terrible, all dirt no grass, minor inconvenience. To the starter, no carts available, finally get cart and go to the first tee, first 2 holes went easy and that was all. 5 1/2 hours later we finish. Overall a nice layout, but fairways were like hardpan, bunkers were poor to fair (didn't help that no one appeared to have raked them). Greens were all torn up, ball marks, holes etc. Paid $ 80. 00 for this, I don't mind paying for good golf courses, this isn't one of them. One last note, 5 some in front were playing from the back tees and constantly on cell phones, beside the fact they couldn't hit the ball out of their own shadow, they were just plain slow. Ranger tried to get them to move a little faster.....NO DEAL. Nice layout, close to home, won't go back.

Played on Sunday 6/4/06. Pro shop guys was rude, range was crap. Course was in nice condition except a few bare spots on the fairway. Greens were terrible, ball marks etc. Almost every hole had a crown at the gole, it was like the crew was in a hurry to put the flags in. Pace of play was good, but if I want generic golf, I'll go play Tahquitz old course. Cath Canyon is worth the price but not much of a challenge.

Played on Saturday 6/3/06, 112 degrees. Possibly the nicest course / people I have been around. Course is fair, greens are awsome, not one negative thing to say. They actually seem to care about the players on the course. Drove 100 miles to play and will do it again.

Gave a negative review a few months back so fair is fair. Played today 2/4 and everything is much improved. Pace of play was not fast but steady, fairways were nice and the bunkers were in great condition. Only complaint was the greens were pretty beat up. Mostly due to the morons who refuse to fix a ball mark. You know who you are...Come on, fix yours and 2 more. It only takes a minute or so. Overall had a good time and will come back soon.

RE: Golfingdude. you missed the point. I don't care about anything other than course condition and pace of play. It was the attitude of the new owner (who I did speak to in person). Seems like you play the course as often as I do by reading your previous posts. If you say the course marshall came right out, you got better service than our group did. That being said I will go out and try it again and repost if it's improved.

Having played this course several times BEFORE NEW MANAGEMENT, this is one of my favorites. My wife and I drive 85+ miles and have enjoyed the course in the past. However, we played today and it was a 5 1/2 hour round. Orange County is not even this bad. The new owner doesn't care and has increased tee times by approximately 1-3 extra groups every 1-2 hours. I asked him about this, his answer was "Really ? Sorry about the slow play ". That was it. I told him we drive a ling way to play here, but we will now drive 10 more miles and play Diamond Valley. It's a shame because the course is in great shape and the greens were rolling true. These people just don't give a rats'arse about customer service. They also closed the snack bar at 3:00, because they had a Banquet coming in. Like I said they just don't care. I also saw something today that I've never seen. The cart girl came up to us to tell us the snack bar was closed, we were walking off the 15th green. She then drove OVER THE GREEN and back down the fairway, it was actually funny to think she didn't know any better. Anyway, this is the last of my money Hemet Golf Club will recieve from this golfer. BTW I shot 76 so this is not a bad course review. Just a bad new ownership review.

It was a shame to see the condition this course was in. Played it on Sunday 6/19/05. I understand the summer is slow...But. The fairways were torn up, the greens were worse and the cart barn guys were jerks. I had always wanted to play this course, glad I did , won't be back. Played Cimarron on Fri, Westin (Dye) on sat, did not see the same conditions. The only comment I got was "You get what you pay for ". This from the front desk. The only positive thing I could say about the course, the layout is awesome, the tee boxes were nice.
