Magnificent course that should be on every serious golfer's must-play list. Generous fairways but you better be dialed in on your approaches! Greens are fast fast fast from the wrong areas. Spectacular design with many memorable holes. Walk and take a caddie, if you can - mine probably saved me at least 5-10 strokes between pointing out lines and reading putts. They also have some great stories about the course, Mackenzie, and pros who have played the course.

Yes, this course is supposed to be "easier" than the Tournament course, but played from the tips in the afternoon wind, this course is no pushover. Over 7,000 yards and it feels much longer! A few memorable holes but the majority felt like a nice muni. Open fairways with few hazards/OB. When I played 8/14/11, a few of the greens were spotty with brown patches. Super twilight discount is a great deal!

I come here for the early morning back-9 as it's close to my office. Pretty good deal for $18.

They are rebuilding all the greens, you may want to call ahead to see how many temporary greens are in play on any given day.

Conditions are usually pretty good for a muni - very few bare spots, decent tee boxes, nice roll on the greens (if a bit slow). Note that the greens don't break as much as you think!!
