Hadn't played here in two years. Took advantage of e-mailed coupon to get fee to $55. Course was in great shape, although unforgiving as always to any wayward shot. Lots of rabbits on 16. Construction on one par 5 detracted a little. Twilight rate is actually $55 with cart.

What sets this course apart is--the setting! Positioned along the American River, hawks circle, deer and wild turkeys roam, and joggers run the perimeter (no houses). Beautiful!

Played course 5/5/05. Tees were beaten up faily badly--fairways good--greens bumpy in places. Lots of blind approaches to greens, difficult fairway landings--had to depend on experinced playing partners that day to know where to go. Course played in 3 3/4 hours despite being fairly heavily played.

Am looking forward to replay this wek.
