Played here on 2/23/13 with 3 of my friends. None of us had been there but we decided to add a new course to the rotation since we had see all of the great reviews. It was slightly more than an hour's drive to get there from Irvine, but boy was it worth it! The course is in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and especially the greens, were monochromatic green and mowed perfectly. The course itself is fair but what sets it apart from courses in our rotation are the greens. You can make any course interesting with fantastic greens, and Sierra Lakes is a prime example. Not only were they rolling very fast and true, but the different contours and undulations made for some very fun green reading. All in all it was a fun round. It's definitely worth the drive.
