Out early on a really beautiful morning. Always enjoy playing this fun little course, because it provides me with a number of really good birdie opportunities. Lots of easy holes, but still enough of a challenge to keep your interest.

Not too much to add to Larry's last review. Greens roll well, reasonably fast. Most of the fairways have good coverage. Bunkers were OK, about what you expect now days. The only part of the course which needs much attention are the tee boxes, which get beat up because of all the irons used.

Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Out early and done early. I like starting a Mon here as the course is usually easy to start early. Also like to get in a walking round for the week. Found the course to be in good shape. Tee boxes fine. Fairways good coverage, lies and roll. Traps all playable early. Very little if any rough. Greens in nice shape for chipping/putting and have good speed (though some of the par 3's have many old divot marks). Customer service excellent at all levels. They look like they are getting ready to open the clubhouse? The range is now closed on Mondays until Noon for clean up. Recommended for a quick and stress free round.

Was unable to play early this AM and wanted to get out and stretch my legs playing golf, after a long weekend of projects. Alhambra fit the bill and able to get a time as a single. Was surprised at how busy it was on a Monday and the POP was over 4 H. Good thing I was walking. Course is in fairly good shape at the moment. Tee boxes were clean but ground was hard putting in the tee. Fairways had good coverage, lies and decent roll out. Traps were not playable at all at this time of day. No rough to speak off. Greens were clean, devoid of divots and had good speed when chipping/putting. Customer service was excellent. They had an outdoor snack bar set up. Range was open. Putting green was closed. Masks at check in and around clubhouse only. Only thing they really needed today was a marshal.

Out early done early. Course was damp and very muddy. Appears they have been watering quite a lot recently. Tee boxes beat up a skosh. Fairways patchy with no roll and fair amount of good lies. Traps all appeared clean and playable. Greens were wet but in good shape and held shots, chipped/putted with decent speed. Great customer service at check in. Winter conditions for the most part but in decent enough shape to get a round of golf in. Hard to beat $16 Sr rate walking.

Played this AM. Course is about 85% dry but some muddy areas still exist. Overall the conditions were better than what we expected. Tee boxes were all playable. Traps appeared dry and void of water but neither of us was in one, so all I can say. Fairways were playable and of course you got some mud on the ball so we played LCP (very little roll out if any). Greens were being cut in front of us and they chipped/putted very well. Excellent customer service at check in by both employees. LA county virus rules re masks at check in/first tee and all areas around the clubhouse.

I was able to play Alhambra today, walked the Blues. The course held up very well from the previous storm. Greens ran true, they were not fast though(it rained hard here last night). The fairway's are a little hard, and some of the lower spots are a little muddy, as expected. The tee boxes were about what you would expect this time of the year but I was happy with what was hitting from. The sand traps were not very soft but I played excellent from them today so I will not complain. Alhambra is a pretty good deal at $28 to walk, and an easy course to walk at that. I always struggle on the back nine here, but still a fun course. One of my playing partners travelled all the from Santa Monica, he said its totally worth the green fee, and the pace is great, he plays Alhambra all the time. I would say he is correct we finished in under 4 hrs and that was with our senior group member cart dying on the last hole so we had to push him up the hill. Recommended for the price.

Wanted a quick round this AM. We scored an early tee time (2nd out) and accomplished our goal. No real changes from last weeks review, but we found the course very wet in many areas today (made for many muddy golf balls). They also had placed the tees on the very back of many of the tee boxes today, making the course more challenging ( we liked it). Customer service excellent at all levels (great staff of personnel). And the greens were even faster today (if that is possible) making for a fun round of putting. At $16 to walk it is a great deal(Sr rate).

Out today in a nice 3.5 H POP. Course is in very nice shape. Tee boxes just fine. No rough to deal with. Traps were actually playable but no rakes for those coming behind. Fairways had decent coverage and good roll out. Greens were fast/furious. Took us several holes to get the speed right. Best shape I have ever seen them IMO. Great customer service. Still (of course) LA virus rules in effect.

Went out yesterday mid AM. Course is not exceptionally muddy from the rain, but there are some wet areas still. Tee boxes were all fine. Fairways were thin but playable. Sand traps surprisingly enough had been cleaned and were playable at that time of the day but the sand is not particularly soft. No rough to speak off. Greens were in good shape and chipped/putted well all round. Customer service excellent at all levels. Though I did feel that having a marshal out yesterday would have improved POP. For $16 Sr walking it is a great deal compared to many other courses in and around LA County. LA County virus rules in effect except on the course. No food services are available at this time.
