First time playing here Friday afternoon 9/2/11. Typical American Golf conditioning and pace (~5hr). Large trees, narrow fairways, small greens that looked firm but were receptive and rolled medium fast. Position important as even in the fairway trees can block or influence shot lines. Under trees can mean root problems. Most greens elevated. Afternoon wind can influence shots while you might not feel it due to trees screening your lie. Saw the cart girl 3 or 4 times. Big selection and OK food in the grill. Pleasant pro shop staff. OK for a casual round.

Played 9 today towards end of the day and course was busy due to the open this weekend. Its sad to say but the greens are ridiculously bumpy for an upcoming tournament. The fairways were nice and roug... Continue »

Unlike the last time I played here the course is in good shape and played in four hours on Friday (6/9/11). I like this course, it has enought water, sand and character to keep you interested. One thing, NO pull carts, ok they have two! I like to walk and brought my push cart and my playing partner was going to rent one. Ah no. Two carts for the coures? Other then that it was a great day, like any day you can get out and play.

Started just after 10 am. Fairways were mowed and rough was not real thick. Half of greens had been punched a few weeks ago and were about 10 days from being back to smooth. Still just a little sandy and bumpy. Some of the bunkers were hard pan, but OK. Pace was fine. Pro shop sez other half of greens will be punched (in 2-3 weeks?) once the first half has fully recovered. Wind was down so not as much of a factor as a few days ago. Course is a challenge but can score well if short game is solid.

As of 4/9/2011 they had not punched the greens yet! Course was in good shape. They now have 1st and 2nd cuts of ruff, really makes the golf course look more appealing and a little more challenging. ... Continue »

As of 4/9/2011 they had not punched the greens yet! Course was in good shape. They now have 1st and 2nd cuts of ruff, really makes the golf course look more appealing and a little more challenging. The greens were sprouting so putts were not rolling as true as they usually do. With no mistakes this course should be in great shape after aeration is complete and very challenging to play. Enjoy!

Played on Wednesday, March 9th. Course in great shape. Greens fast and hard. Fairways look lush. Finished round in 4 hours - unheard of in normal conditions. This is a heavy time of year for high school golf teams, so I believe I played just ahead of the teams and was able to zip through without any problems.

OK Could not put. Tried and failed miserably. Played here as part of Western GK Match Play. Could not put. Could not figure out these greens. One thing I noticed, they are very hard, very fast and the slightest leaf, cleat mark can have serious effect on the movement of the ball. Did I mention I couldn't put? Tees were ok some were unlevel but certainly playable. Fairways were OK.. some rain damage from pooling and grass was thin but certainly playable there. Rough was as expect, thick. Sand in bunkers was pretty thin. Fairway bunkers in particular were thin on the sand and heavy on the hard ground, learned that the hard way. Fairway bunkers have plenty of sand and I saw my share of both types in this round. I don't know but this course his my number in spades. Hit the ball OK just could not put enough shots together to make a decent round. Greens were very hard, very fast and very thin. I could see the slightest indentation would have a serious effect on my putting. Hole 13 (par 3) and several holes had some trouble with the greens. They looked patched and I was told they did some repair work on the greens. So in areas its thin and very bumpy. Overall it the weather was nice. Game not so nice. Company great. And of course LngSho played well enough given both our bad rounds LOL. Congrats to LngSho for showing up and kicking my rear to the losers bracket!

Course played quickly. Didn't have to wait. Saw the group behind us occasionally. Overall course is in OK shape. Not great, give a few more weeks of warmer weather for that to change for the better.

Played 12/31/10 and had a 7:00 t-time. This course chould not have been open!!!!! When I asked the starter if we would be under a frost delay she said no like I was nuts. The fairways had standing water/ice on most of them. The greens had what at first you thought hundreds of ball marks on them, which turned out to be ICE that built up on the bottem of you shoe. Five to sever marks every you put your foot down on the green. The rough and fairways looked liked they had not been cut for a week yet it had not rained for two days. So if you hit a ball off line you had a hell of a time finding it, so it took 5 hrs. to play at 7:00 in the morning! I like this course, but shame on them for having it open.

Played on Thanksgiving day, Nov.25. Many five some today. not many people due to Turkey Holiday. Greens were bumpy but fair. Hole #12 par 3 green, more than half of the green were under repair with new patches of turf. Front 9 holes pace were slow but as always Back 9 were good pace. Total playing time was around 5 hours. Besides my score it was a good golfing day and enjoyed the course.
