usual Sat waiting list mish-mash group. As an 11, I'm finding more better golfers are playing now, lousy ones missing ( until afternoon here at Grif). Everybody beats me now. Is there a better starter than Danny? I think not! Fairways ragged- it's a public course. But $ 39 to carry? They get it tho. This is a gem of a course- more variety than it's big brother. Greens were beautiful. Some tough par 4's. Fun to play.

Im wondering if anybody is leaving out of town this weekend? Doesnt seem like it. The last two days at harding/wilson golf course is a mad house. 40-50 plus on the waiting list. Finally got out at super twilight(waited about hour and 45 mins) and played about 10 holes before dark. Pace of play for 18 holes would of been almost 6 hours. Anyways, course conditions are typical muni. Greens alittle bumpy, but that might be from all the traffic the course gets.

Have not been to the park in a while. I was quite surprised to the speed of the greens here. They were fast! Maybe the fastest I've ever seen here. Still had the bumps though. The rest of the course is what you would expect for the L.A. tracks. The sand quality was pretty good & pace of play at 6:30 was just over 4 hours. Excellent for The Griffith Park courses.

The pace of play was very slow because of the amount of walkers on the course. The fairways were dry and were pretty hard, and there were a lot of ball marks on the greens that had not been fixed. I played this course because my regular course had a tourny today so I had to find somewhere to walk onto. I hadn't played this course in nearly a year and now I remember way. Not worth the green fee. There are much better Los Angeles City courses to play than this one.

Played here Friday, May 29th with morning tee time. It took us about 5 hours to play 18 holes. Greens were recovering nicely from being punched. Punched greens didn't influence putts and were in good shape. Fairways were another matter. With the water shortage, fairways were bare in spots, mushy in other spots, yellow and thin in other spots. Not too bad....you can still play here. It's always a good price to play here.

Harding is shorter than Wilson to play. It is more technical to play this course. Water comes into play on a couple holes. There seems to have more bunkers surrounding the greens which comes into play more than Wilson. It's a little easier to get tee times for Harding than Wilson. This is one of my favorite courses to play.

Lots of challenges off the tee, since that shot needs some shape on most of the holes. Less interesting on the second shot, and the greens are too slow to take full advantage of their ample contouring. Fairways are in worse shape than the Wilson course right next door, which seems odd. Pace of play is OK if you start before 7AM, but brutal after about 9AM teetimes. Play from as far back as possible to minimize the wait before the group in front clears the fairway - with the fairways so thin they're also fast, and the course plays shorter than you'd expect. Tighter and more cramped than Wilson, but just as tough imo. Easy to walk.

Played this morning for the first time since they punched the greens about 2 weeks ago. Finished in under 4 hours. Most greens are still bumpy/uneven with a a couple exceptions but the fairways are in better than usual condition. The greens before the aeration were fast and true, heard they got a new superintendent for Harding who likes to keep them fast so I look forward to playing them in a couple weeks. Overall still a good value. (for residents)
