From tee to green this place is in good shape. The greens were very, very slow & had their share of bumps. Pace of play was painfully SLOW. 5 hours, 10 minutes on a Monday morning. Watching the fivesome in front of us, in 4 carts, was a real treat. No marshal to be found as well. Enjoy.

Played mid-day Sunday at Hondo. Always enjoy rounds here as the course is usually in very good condition from tee to green ... semi-challenging layout and clean visuals. Greens a bit slower than I remember from when I was here last year, some putts rolled off line which can be a pisser. Otherwise, a 5 hr. round, pleasant staff, friendly cart girl = fun day of golf. Will come again for sure.

I played today at 2pm. The greens were little slower than past Sun. Never the less still satisfying round. played in 3:55.

Played 5/7/10. First time here, played in company sponsored scramble event. Pleasantly surprised with layout and some interesting holes and a few nice water features, however, condition was just average. Fairways are still recovering, greens were very slow. Only mats to warmup on, which for me is always a negative. Might be worth your while if you happen to be in Downey....

Played 5/8/10 for first time. Tee time was at 11:15 didn't let us out till 11:45. Every other group was 5some. 5 1/2 hour round plus extra half hour delay on tee time. This course is a nice course... Continue »

This course is a nice course that is very well maintained. Fairways still healing from being punched but greens healed very nice and rolled fast and true. I will never play this course again because of starters over booking and allowing so many 5somes especially on a course that has back to back par 3's. My friends who play it more often said it never that bad so maybe you'll have better luck.

I played 4/21/10 (at) 1pm, in crazy windy conditions. I really enjoy playing this course, it's pretty flat and easy to walk. The conditions are always good to great. The greens are rolling really good since they aerated them recently. Fairways are dry and cut really close so your ball rolls and rolls. Twilight is a good rate, but everyone seems to wait till then so it's tough to finish in time.

Played yesterday with Swing18 & Robstretch. Course is in great condition. Greens rolled very well. Unfortunately they will be punching the greens soon (as early as next week.) Fairways in good shape. Bunkers well stocked with sand. Rough is a little short but still fun to play. Pace was very quick. Like they said earlier, narrow in spots but fun course to walk -- which we did. First two holes are long par 4s. Get ready for some rude awakenings with the next two par 5s. It offers good challenge and is a personal favorite of mine even if it off the beaten track. I would recommend playing this course b/c the conditions here are always great and the pay for golf a great value. Played only 9 holes but buddies continued on. Finished the 9 in a little under 2 hours. Great deal considering how crowded courses are for the Easter/Passover Holiday.
