Played San Dimas yesterday (at) 11:48 am. The starter mentioned that greens were in great shape...but I big to differ as they put a layer of sand on the greens. I wouldn't mind it if the starter didn't mentioned it up front. Customer service here was so so....poor starter needed help and a dry towel. The clubhouse needs to stop charging 50 cents for freaking water!!! Started told the guy before us to tee off...with driver in hand..when the previous group was 180 yards down hill in front of us...Beers here are also highway robbery. The pace of play were horrible here....course was wild open (at) 11 am, but after 11:30 am...the flood gates opened. Again..play the correct tees please! Sand traps were in great shape...and over all the course was in good shape except for the top coat of sand. We played the front 9 in 3 hours..and ended up just replaying the front nine again. Won't come back on SAT...ever again.

Rain the whole time i was playing today. Greens were super slow(maybe due to the rain). Course conditions are ok, but they are overseeding the tee boxes. Customer service is an A+.

I have not played here in 20 years. It is not a difficult layout. But many hazards and OB will grab your attention. The greens are much tougher on the back 9. 4 of the 5 par 5's are very short but not gimmie birdies. The 12th requires pinpoint accuracy on the tee shot and second shot. The bunkers were very nice and groomed. The rest of the course is in good shape with the exception of the tee boxes. There are obstructions: a pump station on 1, a pump on 4, power lines, nets, and electric towers, that reduce the asthetics of this course which makes it hard for me to play here often.

played 8/9 early morning special before 7 am. good price. Bad choice. first the good, price was right, bunkers were perfect, greens were better than average, weather was perfect. The bad, starter said he kept calling, but both myself and the other single I paired up with didn't hear a thing, I believe his microphone was not working. So we started at 7:10, not that big a deal. Problem.. they let fivesomes out on this course, even early in the morning to hold up everybody for the whole day. Absolutely ridiculous. Course marshal just said that's the way it goes. The tee boxes were a mess and not level on about 7 holes at least. It is a shame, this course could do so much better. It is the closest course to my house, they won't be seeing me in the near future. Not much of a review of the course, I know, cause the course itself is fine, short of the horrendous tee areas. Just be forewarned about the pace of play, cause it just isn't any fun.

Played today 7/18. The heat kept a lot of people away. We teed off around 1 pm...for $40...San Dimas e-mail special. Greens were in great condition. The fairways were dry and affected by the recent high temperatures. Sand traps were very fluffy. The back nine is definitely much tougher than the front nine. We even saw a family of deers on Hole #12. The stretch of holes 12 through 14 is not easy. Great pace of play..4 hours. We were pleasantly suprised. Will be coming back.

I really enjoy this course. Conditions are really nice and it is a nice challenge. The pace of play is the only "knock" on this course.

Played on 5/27/10, with email special for $30. Had a 1:10 tee, didn't get out until 1:35. Starter was kind enough to give us free range balls for the delay. Course was in excellent shape. Fairways gre... Continue »

Played on 5/27/10, with email special for $30. Had a 1:10 tee, didn't get out until 1:35. Starter was kind enough to give us free range balls for the delay. Course was in excellent shape. Fairways green with very few brown spots. Some parts of the rough is very thick and can be a true test of strength. The greens are fast and roll very true. San Dimas probably have the best carts, smooth and with GPS! The only complaint was the amount of time. Course was extremely crowded. We had to wait on every hole and the round was almost 6 hours. I love golf, but it shouldn't take any more than 4 hrs. 6 hrs is just ridiculus.
