I played Victoria on 2/24/2020 and thought it was in pretty good shape. The fairways are still bare in spots, but the rains have made it a little greener. The greens, which are the best feature at Victoria, were in great shape. The environmental areas are getting to be really lush in places, so don't hit your ball in there, because you probably won't find it. I walked on at 8:50 (no reservation) and was done by 1:40.

Played Saturday 5/6. The course has recovered nicely from the aeration. Everything is in pretty good shape for a city course. I wish the groundskeepers weren't so lazy. I hit a ball one foot off the fairway, and because someone had left a metal stake in the rough they mowed around it. My ball was in eight inches of thick grass. All in all it was a nice round on a good course.

Enjoyed the course in spite of some remnants of the storms. Greens are very good, but I'd have to play them several more times to figure them out. The fairways were still wet, but they should recover nicely in a week. There were quite a few extra "water hazards" because of standing water in the low areas of the course. Fortunately they are not in the primary landing areas, mostly in the rough or < 150 yards off the tee. Overall a very nice course. Fairways not overly generous, lots of sand on tee shots and approach shots. Bunkers are in good shape.

I hadn't played Ike in several years and was seriously disappointed. It has always been one of my favorite courses: lush fairways, scary greens, and great service. The fairways were thin and a mess - a lot of bare lies. Other than getting picked up in the parking lot, there was no evidence of service- never saw a course employee while on the course. They are supposedly going through a multi-phased $20M upgrade of the facilities with the last upgrade being the actual golf course. I can't wait, because this course is terrific when it's in good shape.

A terrific course for the money! The fairways are generous, but the approach shots are tricky. The greens are difficult to hold from any distance out. I found it almost impossible to get up and down to save par because of the all the contours in the greens. You can putt from 15 yards off the green, but it's not easy to get it closer than 10 feet. They buried some elephants out there on the fringe.
