Straightforward course in reasonable shape, but ....... as usual the round played on a Tuesday at 11:30 AM took nearly 5 hours. Never saw a marshall. I don't think I have ever played a round here in less the 4 3/4 hours.

Played 10/15. Overall the course is in good condition. However the greens, being aerated 2 weeks ago, are still very bumpy. My rating would be higher if the greens were not aerated. The fairways, roug... Continue »

Played 10/15. Overall the course is in good condition. However the greens, being aerated 2 weeks ago, are still very bumpy. My rating would be higher if the greens were not aerated. The fairways, rough, tee boxes, and bunkers are in good condition. This is a flat course with a nice variety of holes. Water comes into play on several holes. Nice clubhouse, good practice facility, and friendly staff.

They were running a half hour late today (Fri.) at the Navy course and the round took over 5 hours with a mid morning tee time. Don't know what the problem was but we waited on every shot. Brutal.

The course is in good shape, not pristine but decent. Green fee on Friday is $47 walking, non military, a bit pricey. A very challenging layout from the blues, greens rolling medium speed, and bunkers thin. Still recommend this course. Oh, yeah, greens get punched next week.

The course is in overall good condition with the exception of a few greens issues. The greens rolled good and held shots but a few greens had small bare patches on sections of the few greens. The pins were placed on other sections so the impact on putting was minimal for the group. The rough was good with a few patchy areas. The bunkers are good. The tee boxes are good with minor leveling issues. The fairways are very good. The course is flat with a nice varied layout. Water comes into play on several holes. The undulating greens provide a challenge especially if the green speeds are fast. The staff has always been friendly.

My friend and I played 7/31 - $30 w/cart rate from click4teetimes. Arrived midday and sent out twenty minutes early. Pro shop guys and starter each efficient. Paired with a walking single and we all blazed around in 3.5 hours. Conditions are good: fairways are above average, tee boxes level, greens are smooth and run true. Sand was a little hard packed but I got out of two of them and saved par on each hole. No drinking water / coolers or beverage cart spotted. Looking for a stress free day, my buddy and I played the white, not blue tees. Perfect challenge for my handicap. Course has some nice holes, lots of doglegs and wide, flat fairways. Only negative: The course is next to an airport and it was like "Apocalypse Now" with helicopters buzzing above us all round. Not a deal breaker buy any means, but they were very loud. Overall, a great value and a "recommend". Will add to my rotation. Bonus: I hit the sweet spot with traffic on the 405. Smooth sailing - 45 minutes down and back from Marina Del Rey.

The course conditions were pretty good and went with the Gk ratings.

Tee boxes were nice and flat and the grass was nice on them. Fairways were mostly lush with only a few dried out areas. I only had one hardpan lie in the middle that I remember. Rough was about 2" to 3" and not to bad with a few missed fairways. Bunkers were nice and had a playable amount of sand in them. Greens were great imo and were fast and true. Most greens were 2 tiered and gave off some challenging lines.

Pace was good to me even though the cart GPS said we finished 40 minuets behind. We did have groups in front of our group, but we never waited longer than a few minutes to hit.

The Layout was fun and challenging with water on quite a few holes. Some holes were tight and straight was key. The par 3's were long and very challenging.

I have played a few military courses before and I would have to say, This the best one I have seen. Super fun.

Nice flat layout, very walkable. Worth a look but nothing to hang your hat on. Good green fees for ex-military.

Nice chipping green with bunker at far end of range. Friendly staff.

Played here on Sunday, May 26. In one word; WOW! This course has some of the nicest fairways and greens that I've seen. The grass in the rough is probably 3" tall, which made it very hard to hit out of. Greenside bunkers were nice and fluffy. Nothing negative to say about this course at all. It's the longest course I've played to date and I'm looking forward to playing it again because it really tests my long game.
