Played on 3/4. Perfect day to play golf. Played the course many times. Noticed improvement in many tees. Leveled and seeded. Sandtraps have improved 1000%. Fairways were only fair,but they usually are this time of the year. The greens were excellent. Probably the best in South Orange County. Thank you to the Owners and especially the Course Superintendent for their efforts in providing a very enjoyable golf track.

I was expecting to be wowed after reading all the accolades on their website. Disappointed. Course was decent. Nothing spectacular. lots of bare spots on the fairway. Greens were in pretty good condition. lots of elevation changes. Bunkers were well stocked but sand is the heavy sand. Proshop, starter and pretty much everyone was friendly and helpful.
Saw the BevCart a few times during our round, but would like to see a marshall roam the course. There was none (at least none that we saw). Group in front were super slow and probably at least 1-2 holes behind on a few holes.
18th hole was anticlimactic as it was a short par3 with no exciting features.

played 11-19 with a 10 am tee time. Had a group golfer coupon I needed to use so I made the drive down. $37 for a small bucket-18 holes and $5 in the grill. Got out right on time and was paired up with another threesome.
I like the layout of this course. Some elevation changes-some doglegs and challenging short par 3's.
The tee boxes are a little rough and some were not too level. The fairways are mostly really good for this time of year. A couple had some thin spots.
The greens have healed nicely from the recent punching and rolled very smooth and consistent. The bunkers had ample sand(i was in way too many).
Never saw the cart but they do have a nice set up at the turn right on the course with Tri-tip's -burgers and dogs hot off the barbecue. The clubhouse is well worth visiting after your round. Lots of tv's- good assortment of brew's on tap and good food. Overall a nice track with good service and good pace of play

We played 10/29 and found the course in good condition. The pace of play was good, the course conditions were quite nice, and the weather was perfect. The greens were rolling true and were fairly soft as they held most shots. It was my first time playing the course and I will be back. The course is short and for the longer hitter, can easily be overpowered....many hazards were easily cleared. My only complaints were many of the tee boxes were slightly uneven and the rough was patchy in some parts.

Played here for first time Sunday. I was very excited after seeing and hearing good things about the course. Sadly, I have to say, I was very let down. The new clubhouse is indeed beautiful with a nice pro shop and great sports bar. The staff is top notch and is on par with ANY high end course anywhere. I can't say enough about everyone that works there. Sand traps were excellent, soft and deep, but this is where it ends. Greens are the firmest I've experienced in some 100+ courses played. This is probably the reason for the past posted comments about them not having divot marks. I couldn't make a divot here even with an approach wedge down a 150 foot hill on a 130 yard par 3. They feel like carpet laid over concrete. That said, this is merely an observation, not really a complaint. My complaint is with the tee boxes, fairways and rough. All three are barely distinguishable from each other at times. Bare spots, dead areas, divot marks abound everywhere! These areas were the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Sad too because it really is a nice track if you like the sloped, hilly courses. I hope they do something to fix this as I see it has been an issue in the past and seems to be a problem again.

I must commend the people who play here. I did not see one unrepaired ball mark on the greens today. This helps make these greens be in wonderful shape. It is still tough to make a lot of putts however, because the line and speed are hard to figure out. You have to be a great putter to achieve less than 30 putts out here all the time. Always a fun course to play but its too bad they don't allow walking more often at a slightly cheaper rate. If so, I would play here much more often.

We played today and finished in 3.5 hours teeing off first at 6:30. Course is in good shape but you can see some bare/thin spots in some fairways but they do not affect play. Not much roll on the bermuda fairways early in the AM after being watered during the night but got better during the round. But the greens are in great shape and will not be punched until mid Oct. They hold shots, no sign of old divots and those before us had repaired their damage. Nice pace to all putts/chips on all 18. We played on a Monday special for $29 and when we finished the course was beginning to get busy but not crowded. We were told Tues/Wed are the busiest days of the week. Great customer service in pro shop/starter and 19th hole. Redone restaurant with numerous flat screen TV's and a first beverage special for the cost of your score that day. Easy access from I 5 N/S in San Juan Capistrano. It is an enjoyable course to play as it winds it's way in and around the hills. Great practice area as well.

Had a great round here, at a course that looks a bit more intimidating than it actually is. The opening hole has to one of the prettier and intimidating opening holes in the county, especially from the tips. You are hitting from an elevated box, over teh cart path, over a lake through a fairly narrow slot. But as long as you don't dribble it, there is plenty of room in the fairway. Most of the course is like this, with kicks off the hills, hidden bail outs, and trouble only for the those that court danger or pack a huge slice.

The greens are all fast, with a lot more break than it seemed, at least to me. Uphill puts need more force that at first they seemed, while even long downhill puts needed barely a tap to get the run. At the turn that had a bbq going, with tri-tip on the menu. I don't know if it is a normal item, but it was teh best lunch I have had at the turn on a course this year.
