Played on a Sunday afternoon, twilight internet special $37 w/cart. Teed off at 1pm and finished in 4:40. Front 9 greens punched last week, back 9 coming soon. I haven't been here for a while but I like the layout: sloping hills, some tight areas to navigate and some blind shots. Rough was deep due to recent rain, keep it in the faiways ... we even lost a couple balls that got buried. Nice, new clubhouse worth checking out. Will return for sure.

Played the course on 10/17. The course is in the best shape I seen it in the last couple of years. Props go out to the superintent for doing such a superb job. Greens and fairways are great. Newly remodeled clubhouse is beautiful. Made me say "wow" seeing 17 big screen TVs in new Sports Bar. The atmosphere, food and service throughout the facilitiy made an impression on me to frequent the course more often.

I have been reading reviews on Greenskeeper for a while now. Although I thought most of the reviews are fairly accurate, I also understand that most of us bargain deal hunters usually get what we pay for. I usually look for the best rates on Golfnow or Click4teetimes, and I try not to have too high of an expectation based on what I pay. I've been playing at San Juan Hills for about a year now, probably once every 1-2 months. Well, my experience at San Juan Hills yesterday was so bad, I think I'm done playing there. First like everyone else had already stated, this course is never worth its ridiculous rack rates. I remeber not too long ago when its greens were fairly smooth and rolling true, but that seems to be a thing of the past. Right now it has some bumpy greens that bear zero resemblance to the practice putting green which is fairly well maintained. Fairways weren't particular good or particular bad, certainly not worth the $75 weekend rack rate. In addition to the subpar course condition, I also failed to see the great customer service that other people have mentioned. Every time I checked in, the guy at the counter would always make me feel like I'm stealing from them by booking my tee time through Golfnow or Click4teetimes, always making stupid comment on how Golfnow must had made a price mistake, making me feel completely unwelcomed. in addition, there was zero marshalling at all on the course, it was so backed up that the impatient jerks behind us would constantly hit into our foursome and even screamed at us to hurry up at one of the holes while two groups were stacked up at the hole right in front of us. To make things worse, another group with four young teenagers behind us decided to leap over everybody and cut in front of us, making it a completely chaotic day on the course. Overall, I would rate the experience as a "F". I'm not sure what had happened to San Juan Hills management, but it certainly looks like they are spending money at all the wrong places. I get non-stop emails from advertising for their newly expanded club house and driving range, but it seems like they completely neglected the course itself.

Conditions are fine for this time of year. Yes, the greens are a little bumpy. I don't think they have a rolling machine to roll greens here. That'd be nice. They've done alot of work on the fairways and they are improved. They punched the tee boxes today during our round. Bunkers are nightmare inconsistent, as usual. Customer service is always great.

I was not happy with this course. There are only two things that I like. The first one is their customer service and the other one is the sand condition. The green is the worse condition ever!!! All 17 greens are very bumpy. Literally, the ball is hopping when you putt. The only better green is just 18 hole green. Why? Because you can see the green from the club house!!. The fairway and tee box are in ok shape. Oh! The first hole blue tee box area is not maintained at all!! This tee box is like the rough!!! I will not go back until I hear some good news. The green fee is not worth it!!

Played San Juan Hills on Friday Aug27th for the first time. The course was in good shape and the greens were nice, a few a little bumpy, but still rolled nice. The course layout was ok. I wasn't real inpressed and having the driving range across the street was real inconvient. The price of this course was way too much for what it had to offer. You can pay much less for some really nice tracks out in Corona and Norco. I also thought O.C. golfers had some class, but someone drove a golf cart into the front of my Shelby GT500KR and broke the front spoiler. That cost be $3425, and no that is not why I am sour on the golf course. $55 for that course is too much. Chevelle

Played on Th. starting at 1:30 p.m. Course in good condition. New clubhouse has friendly atmosphere. Hole 18 par-3 has been shortened considerably as green now used for practice. New green moved up at least 50 yds. Greens difficult to read, but in decent shape. Sand in bunkers good consistency. Round took 5 hours, but didn't seem too long. Great price on GolfNow.com. Will return much sooner so interval between rounds here not as long as 1-2 years.

Played on 06/30/10.First time playing here.Get here a little early as driving range is across the street from course.Staff was very friendly. I was very impressed by the bar/clubhouse area and there is a nice seating area outside to enjoy a drink and feel the sea breeze.The course was not really that tough but you will always have a breeze here which will make things interesting.The tees were nice as well as the fairways.The only problems were the greens.They were very slow and very bumpy,although you can tell they could be really nice if cut and rolled.The carts had GPS,I did enjoy myself here and the golfnow price is well worth it.Enjoy!
