No complaints. Course in good shape. Good pace of play. 8th fairway is now cart path only which is good. they've had problems with hardpan areas in the landing area on that hole so glad they're trying to get some grass to grow, although makes the hole play slow cuz that fairway is WIDE. Bunker sand is getting a little more consistent. Good value for the money.

Great conditions. The tee box on 17 could be more level and the bunkers are variable. Pace is decent. Clubhouse food is good.

Traveled from SD to play this course. It was definitely worth the drive. The course was in great shape. The greens were in good condition rolling with medium speed. The driving range is located across the street. Customer service was above what was expected. This course is easily worth the green fees. POP was under 4 hrs.

Course is in fabulous shape. Only complaint would be, like others have said, the bunkers. It's either heavy fluffy sand or hardpan. No consistency. Some of the tee boxes were a little hacked up. But, the rough is lush; defines the well manicured fairways nicely. Greens rolled true. Even the fairway areas on 17 that are usually pretty thin are growing in fairly nicely now. Can't go wrong here. Awesome customer service, as usual.

Played last Sunday afternoon with the Red Dot discount. San Juan Hills never lets me down. The only thing I can say negatively about the course is the bunkers. The sand was very inconsistant. The front nine was almost too soft while the back nine was very hard and wet. I didn't go into but one, so it didn't bother me. It looks like they may be in the process of putting new sand into them, because the sand was two different colors. The greens are healing nicely since punching about a month ago and the fairways and rough were in great shape. I could complain about the guys that were paired with us, but this isn't the place to do it. To the guys behind us, sorry for the slow play, but I'm sure you found plenty of the Pro V1's the guy we played with lost.

This is the 3rd time I have played this course and it is always there for a good time. The pace of play was better than usual for my foursome (4 hrs, 10 min). The greens had been punched recently so I would wait another week or two for them to fill out but still rolling fairly well now. Still one of the best values in OC. Highly recommend it as a place to play.

The staff at San Juan Hills has always been fantastic and extremely accomodating.

The course is in the best shape it's ever been in the last couple of years due to a new super. Basically, if you are nice to the guys who work at San Juan Hills, like most other course, they will be cool to you.

San Juan Hills is one of the best deals in South OC. If you are willing to walk it and play twilight it's almost unbeatable. And for those of you who have some people skills, if you are cool to the starter, he will typically give you a cart for free at twilight if you ask nicely.
