greens were very fast...i'd say maybe an 10 or 11...wow, i dont know if it's that they were that fast to begin with, or that all the undulations played a part, but they were pretty fast...i dont remember them being that fast here last time, but yeah...didnt want to be above the hole...one complaint i have here is that there are a lot of undulations in the green...some are just ridiculous

fairways are decent...some spots are better than others, but its pretty good overall...same with the rough...the one sand trap i was in had really nice soft sand

the biggest problem i have with this course is the pace of play...we started at 1, and we finished only 16, and thats only because the group in front left as the sund was going down...they gotta do something about the slow pace of play

The greens were very good! The fairways on the other hand were rather questionable. My problem with Westridge now is the pace of play and the fact it is always 15-30 running late as to tee time. When you couple 1/2 hour delay to tee off and a five hour+ round, makes for a very long day. As much as I enjoy the course, makes me think twice about playing here. They need to do something about pace of play.

Played 11/24/07 saturday as a member of tournament group of 22 people.Same conditions as 1 week ago.Except many soggy wet fairway parts general conditions are good to excellent especially greens rolled very good responding exactly lie says without tricks.It's very glad to see recovering back to their glorious greens conditions as used to be 3-4 years ago passing bad times I think last year.And I saw the crews passing around checking ground conditions. Very good.

I finally played this course on November 14 after being very cautious about wanting to play there because of some of the negative reviews I have read on this website. We teed off in the morning and it was a beautiful clear view that morning, you could see the "mountain" on Palos Verdes, you could see a faint view of the Hollywood sign from the 14th tee and that must be 35 miles away---the view alone was almost worth the green fee. Contrary to what I have read here, the fairways were very good and the greens were fantastic, no ball marks, the ball rolled true as the greens were smooth, some of the better greens in southern California-----but they were difficult to putt and I 3 putted more times than I usually do as they are tricky to read. Do not ever leave yourself a downhill putt, it can be brutal. The sandtraps were good based on the two that I was able to "experience", but my playing partner complained about some thin sand on one trap he was in. It is a well groomed course.The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the people in the pro shop were very professional in their demeanor and actually appreciative that we were there trying the golf course for the first time and had a very nice disposition while checking us in, all golf courses should be lucky to have people in their pro shop like the staff on duty that day. The marshal on the course was nice, always waved and smiled to us during his rounds of the course and would ask us how everything was going, in fact he helped us search for a lost ball on one hole, then assisted in the golf ruling which would cover the situation I was in (inmovable obstruction and the proper point of relief). My only real complaint is they allow fivesomes during the weekdays and this slowed us up on the back 9. I definitely will play this course in the future quite often. It was a very challenging course with the greens, narrow fairways, the fact you very seldom get a flat lie and several interesting water hazards---but a very fair test of golf.

Played on 11/15 and will say the course was in good condition. Greens were smooth and medium speed; most fairways were very healthy and bunkers were quite playable. It is not one of my favorite courses to play, too many holes seem the same, though there are a handful that are very cool. Very difficult to get a feel of how the greens break, they don't seem to follow any particular pattern - two greens parallel to one another will break in two different directions. Some break toward Imperial Blvd. and some break away from it, very odd. At $58.00 it is not a bargain to play unless you live in Orange County where anything at $75.00 per round is considered inexpensive. The worst part of the experience is playing a great round, moving at a good clip, nobody in front nobody behind then traffic jam at the next tee because of a slow fivesome holding up everyone behind them whom have now caught them. Playing so well than a 15 minute break followed by many more excessive waits, talk about killing a score. Sorry guys but fivesomes are the bain of the average week day golfer trying to avoid the crowds and expense of weekend tee times.

Course is in geat shape having been overseeded and punched a couple of weeks ago. Pace was good, greens were smooth, but already seeing indications of "people" too lazy to fix any ball marks. If everyone would just fix a few while standing around waiting for their turn to putt, the greens would be great all the time. The "people" who don't fix any (or don't know how to properly fix one) are always the ones who are the first to complain. Ironic, isn't it? Nice test from the blues.

The pace of play was okay, although we started off slow. Unfortunately, a lot of the holes were cartpath only, so we had to walk in and around muddy areas. The course would have been a lot better if it wasn't so wet.
