Played here 3 1/2 weeks ago and course is in good shape. Front nine a lot greener than the back 9 but the back 9 does get a lot more sun. The bunkers were 50/50 and the greens were smooth and quick. The food in the clubhouse was very good.

Played Fri Aug 5th. 7am tee time. Staff was very friendly at check in. Starter tried to be funny, but he was a little bit of a grouch. Got behind a 3 some that they squezzed in. Front 9 they played at a good pace, we never waited, back 9 they really slowed down. I mean here we are a 4 some pushing 2 3 somes in front of us. Here is a prime example of golfers playing the wrong tees, they were playing blue ahd should have been playing whites. God the male golfer thinks they have to be so macho..... POP was not good because of this. Anyways the course was in pretty good shape, no issues with the tee boxes and I agree fairways green and short grass, they were watering so actually not much run out, rough did not exist. Was in 3 bumkers and they needed TLC and sand. Greens were in good shape, no ball marks or bare spots. Our group thought they were fery fast, maybe we have been playing on slower greens, not sure. It takes a few holes to adjust to the speed. We were on 11 tee box and saw a 4 foot rattle snake crossing the cart path right there, yeah took picture because that was the first rattle snake we ever saw even though there are signs on allot of courses. I will say seeing the rattler changed how much we looked for a ball on 13, decided a ball and a stroke was safer. Good time over all.

had the afternoon off coming back from riverside so i decided to brave the 100 degree heat in the IE. i have always enjoyed this layout, there are a good mix of interesting holes on the front as opposed to the more bomb it kind of back 9. nice views. there was no one on the course, so i took off at 12:10 and finished the front 9 by 1:20 without rushing. finally caught up to a twosome on 14 and joined them, total time was about 2:45 after the last 5 holes slowed a bit. golf is so much more enjoyable when you are constantly moving as opposed to waiting. water every 3rd or 4th hole or so. the entire course is desert thin, but in good condition IMO. teeboxes are level and mowed tight. fairways are tight, no fluffy lies here, with occasional bare-ish spot but in general very playable. some fairways were punched. no real rough to speak of. greens were i excellent condition IMO, and i enjoyed them maybe because i putted well. they were medium fast and rolled true, hard and difficult to hold shots, even wedges would release two or three feet. breaks are as expected, no tricky stuff here. if you hit a good putt you will be rewarded. i was in two fairway bunkers which had light sand and were good to hit out of. one greenside bunker had moderate light dry sand and played as expected. i hadn't been out here in a while, i should play here more. even though it's dry i think the course is in good condition to play and i enjoyed the quick round. recommended.

Course is in summer shape, fairways thin if not bare, no rough except on the collars of the greens. Bunkers hit and miss. With the bareness of the rough, this course plays a little harder than it should due to the fact that without anything to slow down the ball when hit, it makes the fairways play narrower than they should.

I always enjoy playing here because of the beautiful setting, views, and a number of really interesting holes. Staff is always accommodating and I rarely have an issue getting out early, so pace of play is not a factor.

Course is in about the same condition it was when I last played here a month ago. Greens rolled well, fairways for the most part are OK, but some dry/bare spots. Same with the rough. Did not find any bunkers, so really can't comment on them.

Fun golf course, well priced and enough of a challenge to make it interesting without beating you up!

Played Saturday 6/25 and the course was in pretty good shape considering the drought. The bunkers have lots of pea size and larger stones The GPS pace of play notices were anoying. The groups were stacked up and not moving after the fourth hole (Sat mid day tee time). Constant reminders we were behind schedule No duh, but not anything we could do. The marshal came around a couple of times and apologized bit it was just busy. Eagle glens is a fun course.

Tee boxes were in good shape free of bare spots. The fairways were fair with some dry spots but most of the time you were hitting from green grass. The greens were in good conditions. I don't believe i saw any dry spots. The bunkers were a bit rough. While they appeared in good shape visually once you visited them they were pretty firm and had many rocks so a good reason to stay out of them.

At $45 its on the high side but it is a fun layout. Check in was a breeze and the fellow was friendly. They had a starter which is good and he to was knowledgeable and friendly. Saw the cart lady two or three times and she was polite and friendly as well.

Over all its worth a round.

Bunkers were so so, some had about an inch of sand and others maybe up to 3 inches. Instead of punching the fairways they need to punch the area in front of the greens, that area is rock hard. I gave customer service a 2 out of 5 as I and my fellow golfers did not appreciate the fact that as we were teeing off on #10, the GPS told us we needed to catch up to the group in front of us (they were 3 and were 4) yet we were at #10 at the 1 1/2 hour mark. Played in less than 4 hours. Not cool,but we did use the GK certificate, thanks Johnny

Played at noon on Saturday, 5/28/16, on a warm sunny and breezy afternoon. Especially on the back nine, up against the southern hills, we had a lot of swirling uncertain winds – all 4 of us wound up hitting our tee shots over the 17th green. We had an email special from the course for $55 at noon including $10 replay and a sleeve of ProV1s. Previous reviews have noted the very dry conditions and thin turf – that’s still the case, although the fairways are getting greener. Played with 2 nice guys who came over from Long Beach, who ended up shell-shocked at the narrower hitting areas, arroyo carries, and elevation changes – “It’s not Skylinks” one of them said, laughing! No kidding!

Greens are in pretty good shape – firm and thin but with good coverage, partially accepting good shots, rolling well at medium-fast speed that increased as the afternoon progressed. The greens were somewhat faster than the practice green. Unfortunately lots of old ballmarks on all greens. A couple of greens had obvious patch areas on them. The pin position on #18 was unfair – extreme front right, in the middle of a severe slope with the firm fast green condition. There was no way to get the ball close from any angle – balls that rolled up near the hole would then start rolling back down the slope.

As noted, fairways are starting to green up – the greener areas provide good lies, but there are still many very thin areas, and quite a few scattered bare areas. Rough is short and dry – easy to play from. Most of the hazard areas are also dry and fairly open, and you can often enter and play a wayward shot. I wasn’t in the sand but partners said coverage was adequate, ranging from semi-firm to fluffy. Tees were level, firm, and easy to find suitable hitting setups.

Small putting green only had 3 target flags, and large turf patches throughout. Range on grass. Saw the cart girl several times. We would have filled divots on the back nine, but the refill rack next to the 10th green was empty, as usual. No marshal on the back nine. We went out on time sandwiched among several mixed M/F twosomes and play was slow, with the round taking 4 ¾ hours. I like this course and hope conditions continue to improve.
