Played Eagle Glen 2/26. Tee time was 7am. Showed up at 645 with no one in sight on the course. Instead of letting me cruise out as a single and finish in under 3 hours they made me wait till 7 and play with a 3 some. Not a big deal, but some courtesy would be nice. POP was 4.5.

Tee boxes: level for the most part. ok coverage. no real complaints
Fairways: Bit of a mixed bag, but overall good given the recent weather.
Rough: Not really existent, maybe an inch or 1.5 most.
Bunkers: Great. good depth, no standing water.
Greens: FAST. fastest I have ever seen here. Rolling at least an 11.

Overall some of the best conditions I've seen here. Certainly the best the greens have been, almost too hard. Would definitely recommend.

Played 2/23/17. The course is in very nice condition. The greens were pretty much close to perfect except that they were very very fast. Most tee boxes were level and well covered with turf. The pace of play was not great because somehow a group of five was playing in front of us, and didn't care that they were two holes behind. I have always been told they don't allow groups of five but maybe someone knew somebody. The course was not overly wet even with all the recent rain. Sand was mostly good with some being fresh sand and a few others still hard packed by the rains. Overall a good round of golf.

Arrived, about 12:40 pm, Wednesday, 2/15/17, and received great service from Jorden in the pro shop. He allowed my golf coach/wife to ride with me, and did make it a big deal. Great guy. Was able to get out with two great guys from the PGA Store in Irvine, Dave & Mike. Really enjoyed both guys. As for the course, this is my second time playing the course. It is in stellar condition. The greens were rolling really fast, and true. The course condition was outstanding. Fairway to green, and tee boxes were all awesome. Great day out, and course was close to perfect. Bunkers were well groomed, with plenty of soft sand to hit from. Course layout is challenging and fair. Much better than I remember.

Eagle Glen is a fun course to play and a bit of a challenge for a higher handicap like me. The course was under winter conditions due to recent rains so we had cart path only. The pace of play was slow but not unbearable and the greens and tee boxes were in decent condition. Between the tee and greens the course is pretty brown from the dormant grass but still very playable.

This course presents many challenges. You have forced carries, short par 4s, long par 4s, tight fairways, wide fairways, undulating greens, flat greens...this course has a lot of variety and it does not give up until your round is over. I find it to be a fun challenge and enjoy it because of the variety.

I have to agree with weeman on this course. Hard as a rock, good drives end up off the fairway, rough around the green non existent so ball will run down back to you, course looks like the course is trying for conditions of a links course. Got so silly today we started putting from 50 feet or more off the green, better chance putting than trying to chip off of the fairways. No marshal so we waited on most shots and took over 4 1/2 hours when it normally takes us less than 4. Maybe I'll give it a try in February, hopefully mother nature will water the course.

I played Sunday and will have to go against previous reviews. I thought conditions were fairly dismal. Yes, the bermuda is going dormant, but that is not the issue with the turf here. The soil remains largely compacted and hard throughout the fairways and rough leading to rock-hard bounces, thin tight lies and bare spots where you are hitting off dirt at times (especially in the 'rough').

Add to this the greens have been slit-cut fairly recently - and although they were lightning fast, they were bobbly because of the slits. From either a visual or physical standpoint, the course is not in a condition that justifies the green fees IMO at the present time.

Played Eagle Glen on Friday Dec 9th, Had a 7:30 tee time, teed off on time. POP was decent at 4:30. All of the tee boxes were good, level and soft enough to get a tee into the ground. The fairways were dormant winter grass, very hard and running. You really had to concentrate on hitting a good shot or your club would "bounce" into the ball. A few brown spots and ground under repair in the fairways but did not play a factor in your shot for the most part. I was in two fairway bunkers and the sand was a little thin but playable. I like thinner sand for fairway bunkers and really soft fluffy sand for green side bunkers. I did see one or two fairway bunkers that had nothing but rocks and should have been called ground under repair. The rough was non existent, the areas off the fairways were cut down and your ball ran allot, but you could find your ball, The greens looked really nice, but were on the hard side, (only repaired a couple of ball marks) and they were extremely fast. If you had a down hill putt, good luck stopping the ball. Some of the hole locations appeared the ground crew had a bad previous evening LOL I amazingly only had 36 putts, I know 36 is terrible but at Eagle Glen and with those greens and hole locations, I felt good. I still like this place, challenging on the front nine and a little more forgiving on the back nine.

Joined SBogey, larryq2001 and sixpez for a GK Review Guru visit to Eagle Glen Golf Club Wednesday. I was part of the first GK Review Guru visit back in early September. Comparing this visit to the first one, the golf course has improved. The greens are now in much better condition and fairways a little more lush. With the cold nights now upon us, the fairways and rough are starting to transition to dormant blonde color. They will get more thin and firm with the cool temps however I feel the course has done a solid job on most holes establishing a good bermunda turf base so even when dormant, the fairways will have a nice padding of grass beneath them. They overseeded the tee boxes so those will remain lush and I can only see the greens, as excellent as they are now (fast, smooth, holding shots), getting more smooth and firm. Its was mixed bag for bunker conditions with most having quality sand and few on the firm compacted side. Our Pace of Play was brisk at just under 4 ½ hours. The layout is fantastic with exceptional closing holes – especially the Par 5 Risk/Reward 18. The clubhouse is grand, practice facilities excellent, service great – it’s a complete golf experience. If you are the kind of player that can enjoy a round of golf on dormant fairways/rough, you’ll be very pleased with Eagle Glen Golf Club – I know I was.

Played 11-30-16. Played as part of a GK Guru round. I haven't played here in over a year and the improvement is clear. Tee boxes were near perfect. The greens still showed signs of aeration but they rolled very fast. Some pin locations were really tough. Struggled to get them figured out. Bunkers were nice all around. There is still some work to be done on the fairways. A few dead spots and dry areas. Fairways were very firm so they roll out nice but hard lies made me struggle to make good contact. Had to really attack the ball so made irons work well but hybrids require perfect contact. A really fun layout I hope to get back and see as the fairways fill in.
