course in very good shape except for somw areas very wet from to much watering. greens a little slow but nice. would play here anytime.

Doesn't anybody else play the "Goose" ?? Am I the only one ?? Played 6/6 - same as always - a great course and a great deal. Oh - I ran into the rudest golfer out there I have seen in 33 years of playing golf!! He and his partner cut in front of us on the 7th hole - within two holes he was hacking it up and spending 10 minutes looking for lost balls and buying beer from the beer cart girl. We said "C'mon, guys - pick it up!", as nice as can be abter they fell a hole behind. The one guy went ballistic!!! Swore like a sailor, managed to piss everybody off - including the group in front of them at the turn. Even the Marshall was scared of the guy!

Next time, I bring a gun!

Well - it's the middle of May - and - it's allllmost back to perfect. Greens still a little bumpy (as of 5/10) and unpredictable - but the plugging and sanding has healed nicely - and - balls hit high, with soft six-irons don't scoot off the back of the green like they used to before the aeration. Overall - the Goose is still my favorite course - (wellllll....that could have something to do with the fact that I shot a 79 and a 78 last two rounds there - and - I'm a 14.5!!) Not for long, eh?

Played early morning on Saturday 4/26 - they warned us of the aeration of the greens - so - that was no problem. The plugs had settled a bit on the front side - they had healed well. Evidently the back-nine was aerated later last week - as it was a bit bumpier. Still - in a couple of weeks - this should continue as the best bargain in SoCal golf!

This is also one of my local favorites. The course is not tight, but you can see other fairways, but open enough that you are not hitting into each other. One thing about this course is that it is a very walkable course that it challenging enough for all levels of play. Everytime I have played this course it has been in great shape. You can always expect an afternoon breeze from the southwest if you play after 12.

Obviously I'm playing "too much golf" - can there be any such thing?? Anyway - seven of the last ten reviews of Goose Creek are mine - but here goes another: This great course is gaining so much popularity that it's attracting a few rude people who don't fill divots or repair ball marks. Our foursome did our best to "fix a couple" on every green - but - the greens were pretty pockmarked. The fairways had a lot more divot damage than I am used to seeing out there. The staff at the Goose are great - somehow our regular starting time had not been recorded - but they were able to fit our foursome out with no problem. All four of us walked - and by the fifteenth hole - there were three open holes behind us!! Glad we were in front of that group and not behind. A Saturday walking round in four hours and fifteen minutes! A little more courtesy and etitquette by our fellow golfers would make the place perfect. Oh - too much golf? Never! I'm playing there again Wednesday at 7:00 AM - see you there!
