**STILL MY FAV COURSE ALONG THE 15** Played Monday MLK 11:30AM with my normal 4 some....it was Team match play Lefty's vs Righty's.....We (Righty's) smashed them up 6 with 4 holes left. **Course in AMAZING shape** Greens: Great and smooth Fairways: Lush and mowed, cant believe its winter Rough: Lush and long...stay out of it! Teeboxes: Level and green. Sand: Great. Played last month and Greens were in terrible shape, worse i have ever seen at Goose....it was a total 180 today. Booked off Goose website $48, drive from Irvine using the toll 45min with light traffic.

Played the Goose this morning in just over 3 1/2 hours, normal time. Course is wet so no roll on your drives but ball sat up good. The greens held well and the rough was a adventure to get out of. Sand bunkers are a 50/50 chance, some good some not so good.

The greens were very disappointing, they were bumpy, you could not keep your putts online. POP was about 4 hrs. Playing on a wednesday for 80 dollars it was a bit overpriced.

Got out this morning before the rain and the course is in very good shape. Greens were smooth and consistent and on the quick side. Hit and miss on the bunkers, some had good sand and some compacted sand. We were a 4some and got around in just under 3 1/2 hours. Have a Merry Christmas everybody.

Played Thursday 10:23am with a 3 some, rate via online was $52(Great as always).

**Attention, all greens were not in good shape....with no maintenance alert. All greens looked spotted and recovering, we even had 2 greens that were seeded. It was a disappointment, as my group played Hidden Valley last week with near perfect greens and conditions. We thought for sure the Greens would be in PRIME shape the week after the Lorena Ochoa Invitational last week, a little bit of a let down.

Even with the bumpy greens we still enjoyed Goose. They flipped us today: started us out on the #10th hole (First time ever for us) we enjoyed having #18 as our hole just before the turn. Tee boxes were great, fairways also great for this time of the year and POP was great finished in just over 4 hours.

I always love this course and layout, still one of my Fav's in the 909... along side Oak Quarry.

Had a 11:00 time on 12/10/16 (Saturday). Course conditions were typical Goose Creek, great tee boxes, carpet like fairways, and very nice greens that were firm and fast/quick that were fairly receptive.
The day prior GC had the Lorena Ochoa Invitational and the starter mentioned that all pins were in very approachable positions. Unfortunately I never really figured out the speed as all day I was rolling past 3'-5'.
What this report is really about is the staff @ GC. Knowing that we were going off so late and on a weekend, I was planing on a 5-6 hour round. As we got to the tee on #9, the starter came up to us and apologized for the slow play (approx 2:15 hours at this point). He proceeds to tell us that there was a group that was holding up play and that has been addressed. From that point on, we never waited and seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Total POP 4.5 hours for a Saturday (walking). With that being said, Goose Creek is a very nice course to walk as its pretty flat and the holes are pretty close to each other. They do not have pull/push carts to rent, but feel free to bring your own.
GC is a little pricey to play every week (especially on the weekend), but if you want to treat yourself to great day at a great course, you will not be disappointed.
Once again, thank you Goose Creek for a very enjoyable round.

Another day at the Goose with the GK Gurus.

Really, not much to add to the previous reviews. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and sand remain very good as usual. Greens were trending towards the bumpy side and can be inconsistent although our windy conditions had more to do with that than anything else. The only trouble spot was the front of the green on #5 and that green is so big that I'm surprised they haven't decided to convert that section to more chipping area. This is always a fun place to play and it can show some teeth when the breeze kicks up. Big thanks to Goose for having us out and the staff is always top notch.
Always recommended.

Played 11-20-16 with the GK Guru group in the afternoon in a little under 4 1/2 hours. Tee boxes were in good shape , level and semi-lush. Fairways were very nice, lush and never had a bad lie. Rough is not that long, 1-2 inches and in good shape. Bunkers were well groomed with plenty of nice sand. Greens were in nice shape, a little soft rolling at about an 11 and smooth with an occasional bump. Fun day on the course. Thanks to John and Goose Creek for setting this up.

Played in the GK Guru outing at 10:55am on 11/20/16 in the “shorts” group, trying to keep up with long-hitting “pants” group aheasd of us despite the fact that they we were playing the White tees and they were playing the Blue tees and some of those Blue markers were back in the next zip code! Great November weather started warm and breezy, then getting cloudy and cooler on the back nine. Thanks to GKers abbacat, roarksown1, and sr129 for a very enjoyable round.

The course was in very good condition, and the course setup for the IE Match Play out ahead of us had the greens firm and fast (and getting faster as the afternoon breeze continued), with some very tough pin positions. An approach or chip that was a little too firm or on the wrong side of the flag most often ran out into swales or collection areas completely off the green – I bet we had a dozen of those between us in the course of the round. And I think the guy who cut the pins today had a tendency to leave the rim of the hole slightly elevated, as we also had numerous lip-outs and putts taking strange turns right around the cups. Some of the greens still showed some of the after-effects of aeration (evidence of punched holes), as well as mower tracks and a tendency to hold spikemarks, but these generally did not affect line or roll.

Fairways had good coverage with no bare spots, but turf was not lush, and the ball tended to sit tight in the fairways. Rough along the fairway margins and greens was the thin-bladed stuff that, at about 1-2 inches deep, gives a consistent playability. Farther off the beaten path you get long or gnarly or goodbye. Both fairways and rough had many unfilled divots and slashes. Tees were all level and firm, although par-3 tees and some short par-4 tees had a lot of unrepaired divot damage. I was only in a couple fairway traps, which were groomed and fairly firm with good coverage.

We finished in about 4.5 hours. I didn’t get a chance to use the lush driving range, and the large chipping green was closed, but the large putting green accurately reflects the on-course green contours, slope, and pace. We had some of the usual charms of the Mira Loma setting - we paused our putting on #12 green to listen to a teenager burn rubber for several minutes before racing off to the east to (likely) wrap his car around a tree. While taking my clubs back out to the car, I glanced at the vacant lot across from the course entrace, soon to receive new condos, to see a herd of goats wander into the adjacent subdivision. And there were, as usual, the flies.
