Always a great track, and amazing deal $39 rate from website....worth the drive from the OC.

Played 1/31/17 Monday 9:38am. Greens in amazing shape, smooth and green 9/10. Course in great winter shape with good coverage on faiways and overall rough. Tee boxes overall good shape. Even with all the rain, the course drains well and should continue to be an awesome pick in the IE. Great course, Great shape and GREAT DEAL...only to be beat by my FAV course in the IE Goose Creek.

**STILL MY FAV COURSE ALONG THE 15** Played Monday MLK 11:30AM with my normal 4 some....it was Team match play Lefty's vs Righty's.....We (Righty's) smashed them up 6 with 4 holes left. **Course in AMAZING shape** Greens: Great and smooth Fairways: Lush and mowed, cant believe its winter Rough: Lush and long...stay out of it! Teeboxes: Level and green. Sand: Great. Played last month and Greens were in terrible shape, worse i have ever seen at Goose....it was a total 180 today. Booked off Goose website $48, drive from Irvine using the toll 45min with light traffic.

Played Friday 1/06/17 10:45AM, was worried about course conditions as it rained the day before. We played just the 2 of us with cart path only restrictions. As for the course was in great shape despite the wet weather....Greens were in perfect shape, no water spots and fairway's were also the same with no still water or soggy spots. Only waterlogged fairway was #18 finishing hole. **This was my first time playing this course and i really enjoyed it. Not overly long, with some holes on the narrow side...if you picked the correct sides of the fairway you are in good shape to attack the med sized greens. Front 9 played much easier with holes opening up after #2 and was a rolling links style arrangement with great views of neighboring vineyards. The back was harder as holes started winding towards the foothills and many holes were nestled along large trees and holes were doglegged. For the price we paid $32 rate with GK certificate, it was def worth the drive from OC. We did hit I15 traffic through Temecula and Lake Els. We are def coming back to play in the spring time.

Played Thursday 10:23am with a 3 some, rate via online was $52(Great as always).

**Attention, all greens were not in good shape....with no maintenance alert. All greens looked spotted and recovering, we even had 2 greens that were seeded. It was a disappointment, as my group played Hidden Valley last week with near perfect greens and conditions. We thought for sure the Greens would be in PRIME shape the week after the Lorena Ochoa Invitational last week, a little bit of a let down.

Even with the bumpy greens we still enjoyed Goose. They flipped us today: started us out on the #10th hole (First time ever for us) we enjoyed having #18 as our hole just before the turn. Tee boxes were great, fairways also great for this time of the year and POP was great finished in just over 4 hours.

I always love this course and layout, still one of my Fav's in the 909... along side Oak Quarry.

Played Friday 12/9 @10:50am.... Really enjoyed this course, for the money ($39 booked via HV website 2 days prior) and views just cant be beat. **For first timers, think Black Gold meets Oak Quarry** This was the first time playing it in years, if we play off the 15 via orange county we typically play Goose Creek. Conditions for winter i would rate it very good. Greens: Very Good, lush and receptive (first few holes were sprayed with green fert, looking to preserve it for the winter) Should be solid all winter. Fairways: Good, with a few winter thin spots but overall soft with good divots from good iron play. Tee Box: Also good, with good coverage even from heavy play. Rough: Thin in areas, however this type of course the rough is minimal (against the rocks and hills). Sand: Thin but even, brownish type sand. Pace of Play: Med - Slow even for a Friday, but the course did move.

Played GKguru tee time with 3 other GK Guru's LakersFOOlife, Kviser, and Dconnally. We went out at 11:32AM on Friday 11/18/2016....weather was very warm for Brea/Yorba Linda about mid 80's. Course was light in traffic and we had great spacing between groups. Course was in great winter conditions, as overall fairways were great and rough was lush. Greens were near perfect, fast and but receptive. Greens on this golf course always tough as most of the course sits among the hillside with great look outs into Orange County. This day was a bluebird day and were saw clear to the ocean and Catalina Island in the distance. Tee Boxes were good, level with little issues. Bunkers were good as we also say some work being performed on hold 7 or 8....new white sand being filled, possibilities of new white sand for the course? This course always a challenge but fair, fast breaking greens(Must play approach shots below the pin) and with back 9 playing into the canyons. I always enjoy playing this course as yardage is plenty and the hole variety are great. Thank you Black Gold GC and Greenskeeper Jhonny.

Played the North for the 2nd time. To be honest, I didn't remember 1 hole haha. Played with my weekday foursome on Monday 11/15/16 10:55AM Tee Time with record heat wave 85 daytime temps for Orange County. We played on a Oak Creek player card voucher $150 Rate. Facilities are TOP Notch, expected from Pelican Hills. Course in great shape, Tee Boxes, Fairways, bunkers and Greens all Great shape. Course layout was awesome, with lots of elevation changes. Holes were uphill or down hill....views of the pacific were on many holes, not as close as the South. We did have great views of NEWPORT and Lido Island on middle holes 6-9... **After playing both courses twice, I have made my decision on the NORTH course being the better of the two....despite near ocean holes on the south. The North has more variety and offered a more rick and reward type round.

Amazing course and near perfect condition! Haven't played Bayonet, but played with a local single and he said this is the better of the 2... has more variety in holes. 10min drive with no traffic from DT Monterey. Will come back to play again with my normal golf group and would love to play Bayonet. $65 rate via golf now, played 11/3/16 8:20AM POP 4.5

**Bad reviews from GK are crazy to me, they complain about things that don't matter (Practice greens, other groups etc.)

- Longer then expected, played blues and with the 6500+ yardage in Monterey cold wet weather....it was plenty.

- Great Shape from tee to greens....almost perfect, this is for someone coming from So-cal where local conditions are drought restricted. We are forced to play in Palm Springs for great conditions.

- Elevation changes, dog legs, cypress trees, tough greens with many false fronts and false backs. Greens were fast and in perfect shape, cant imagine on a hotter dryer day. Sandtraps new clover shaped, with new white sand.

I'll keep it short....

Immaculate conditions from tee to green.... Perfect in every way.

Layout, was awesome from range and design of holes to parking lot.

Service great as expected PGA WEST

COURSE was beautiful and challenging (played blues and course was still long).

-Played as a 2 some Tuesday 4/19/16 @ 9:36am
-Weather before 11 was warm and became hot into mid 90's end of the round.
-1st time playing mountain and loved the course, typical Pete Dye design...elevated green structures making approach shots tuff but fair.
-Front 9 was flatter country club style with water, back 9 moved into the mountains with steep elevation changes and secluded views *spectacular, pics don't do it justice*
-Played behind a 4 some mixed with 2 women so pace of play was not fast..typical resort weekday.
-Stayed @ La Quinta resort so access was prime, door to course via golf cart ride from bellmen 5 min.
-Greens were immaculate, fairways close to perfect, sand and tee boxes near perfect.
-For the price $129, would play it again if looking to spend that level

Conditions A++

Dispite the 20-30mph winds.....from a weather system moving out of the area the round was magical as always.

Course Conditons = A++ endless green moist fairway, level perfect tee boxes and awesome fast greens.

Service = A++ from bag attendent to starter top notch.

Value = $129 for WOLF on the pricy side, but competitive for top teir vegas...was thinking of playing TPC Vegas and Revere.

Played Sun last year and just had to retrun and play another course when visiting vegas....played from Yellow on WOLF (Blues) and felt the course was plenty long and challenging enough. I felt the course was wide enough off the tee for aggresive plays on driver on many holes, most holes had more room then first looks from the Tee's. Im sure all courses are fantastic, but comapred to SUN....WOLF was def the keynote of the 3.

Played Firecliff for the 1st time 8:50PM on 4/22/15 paid $128.00 booked off Desert Willow Website

^^ Stay away for 2 weeks! Aeration on all Greens

**Drove out from Irvine with a buddy to play our normal midweek round and wanted to avoid all the Aeration of greens ongoing in OC/LA area.

**Greens - TERRIBLE! All 18 greens punched and sanded no more than a few days!! =( We had no posting on GK or any listing on the Desert Willow Website of any Major Aeration of either course. No posting, no discounted rate and greens were sanded and lots of holes.

**Faiways and Rough - Lush and super green! Very nice.

**Tee Boxes - Lush and perfect.

**Sand Bunkers - Terrible, no sand at all.....if there were a decent amount it was uneven and many bunkers fairway and green-side were wet and muddy.

**Clubhouse and grounds - Amazing, and Top Notch.

--- I played Silver Rock 2 weeks ago for the same Rate of $128 and the course conditions including greens were perfect! Should have played that track again....
