Simply one of my very favorite courses to play! Condition of the course was very good , particularly the greens and fairways. Staff was an usual - excellent! I wish more courses were run like this!

Allways have a good time at the Goose. Played at a decend pace with an 8:40 start. Greens rolled true and in very good condition, medium speed and very receptive. Can get in trouble if you are not straight off the tee, so beware. Conditions are consistently maintained and the staff is outgoing and helpful. I'll drive an hour to play this course again and again.

Fantastic. The best public golf course I have played in Southern California by far. Very reasonable for $75/- . I will play here again and again.

Played 6/13 went out as a single around 7:30 and got on at 8:20. This place is quickly becoming my favorite course. everything from the front desk staff to the cart girl is first class. The fairways where lush and green trimmed just right. The rough not to long and the greens smooth and very consistant. The traps were a little wet in places but maybe I should stay out of them a little more. Had to wait on the par 3's but not long. The marshal came around twice and helped speed things up. Finished in 4hr 15 minutes. I will be back very soon

Played on a Wednesday morning. Overall, place is in excellent condition. And very pleasantly, management and staff are on top of things. That may sound like a bit of a strange compliment, but I’ve been to a number of courses where after walking on as a single, I was basically handed a receipt and pointed to the first tee. These guys had a handle on things, I knew when and with whom I was going out and received audible and clear warnings over the p.a. system at the appointed times by someone with a reasonable and professional command of English who made an effort to annunciate everyone’s names (visit La Mirada to experience the antithesis of all of this.)

One bit of a sticking point (which will heal) was the greens. I don’t know how long ago they were punched, but traces were still present. It seems they punched the back nine first, because those were in the best condition—I got several really true rolls. My first few putts on the front, however, were a bit sketchy. They rolled okay without noticeable bumps, but the aeration holes are there and that may throw you off a bit.

Course is otherwise in excellent condition. Fairways are in country club (well-maintained)/high-end (well-maintained) shape. Very minor bare spots and dying grass on just a couple of holes. The rough is some of the best I have ever seen. It has a very defined border at about 1-3” thickness. Fortunately, I mostly avoided the traps, but they were in good condition. Not the fluffiest sand, but far from hardpan.

Very good outing especially as it wasn’t that hot and there were no cows visible in the nearby dairy operation. $37 to walk prime rate. Have fun on the long par 5 17th if the wind is blowing in your face and with the large tree in the right center of the fairway, which will attract your ball like flies to the above mentioned cows.

Played Friday 5/28 and Saturday 5/29. Course is in great condition. Greens have healed nicely, rolling well, and medium fast. Friday perfectly calm conditions, Saturday 40-50 mph wind gusts and wind throughout. Kind of a crap shoot for wind in this area. Always an enjoyable track, perfect pace on Friday, a little slower on Saturday, I think primarily due to the windy conditions.

AERATION ALERT! Like a dummy, I made a start time (Friday) and didn't ask ... and nothing on the GK site ... so I got snookered. Luckily, only about half the greens have been punched (the big, deep holes) and the rest are in good condition, so remember to CALL FIRST and ask. The bad news is that you don't know which ones are punched until you walk up there ... so some greens are holding and some not so much. And, actually, they didn't roll too bad but I'm sure we all gave at least a couple strokes back to the course.

Otherwise, we all know the Goose is mostly always in good shape, so you can count on gorgeous fairways and even tee boxes. Nice practice area w/grass range. The winds of recent days has died and the day was picture perfect. Yep, nice day for golf.

played Goose Creek Fri. for the first time. Went out as single and got hooked up with a threesome who play the course on a regular basis who where very friendly and helpfull. The whole operation was top notch. The guys behind the counter where really friendly and upbeat. The course was in perfect condition from the tee boxes all the way to the greens.This will not be the last time I play here. The pace of play was perfect we only had to wait on a couple of par three's for the group ahead of us.
