First off,like to thank all comments on this course diffenitly not dissapointed what a track. As advertised. Everthings excellent except for the 51/2 hour round. Greens fantastic hole course excellent. If not for David leadbeyter giving lesson in fairway would have been awesome. Now I see why the goose is so well regarded.

Played yesterday at 12:08, finished a little before 5:00. Play was slow but steady. I sometimes get selfish thoughts regarding posting great things on a course as this may influence more people to play causing slower play and all the other consequences caused by more golf play on a particular course. I just can't keep the beauty of this course to myself. I know that there are other course with maybe a little more challenge or raw beauty in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino county but for the money, GOOSE CREEK is the best deal. The diversity of holes keeps you in the game for 18 holes. I would say the 18th hole is one of the best in Southern California. The most amazing is the maintenance year around.

Played Saturday 10/31 - walked on as soon as I arrived - just before twilight rates kocked in. Good pace of play. Usual great playing conditions and the wind was absent.

Played Saturday 10/31 - walked on as soon as I arrived - just before twilight rates kocked in. Good pace of play. Usual great playing conditions and the wind was absent.
Some observations:
- the cows are back - at least some of them. I thought the dairyfarm next door had closed. Hmmm
- big excavation going on in the hazard by holes 11,14 and 18. My playing partners who are regulars said it is drainage improvements to avoid flooding in the rainy season. Looks like they are planning a permanent lake to me.
- Champions Tour qualifying all this week - Nov 1st - 6th. Probably closed to the general public.
That last factoid shows you just how good this facility is.

This is how a public course should be. I absolutely love this course, the layout, the playing conditions and the entire experience. I feel this course is in a better condition than a lot of other courses nearby like Glen Ivy and Dos Lagos.

Played late morning on Saturday 10/24/09 on a perfect warm, sunny day with only light breezes. Goose was in great shape throughout - greens held shots and rolled smoothly at medium fast speed, good lies in fairways, good sand and traps looked like they'd been raked to start the day. Cart girl came by 3 times each nine. Very enjoyable - this course alweays seems to be in great shape.

Course in in great shape. Very lush fairways, smooth greens. Only a couple of quibbles-maint staff has no idea of how to cut golf holes, raggedy and uneven. All the players in our group suffered multiple spinouts on short putts because of this. Sand in bunkers is also more like soft dirt, doesn't look or feel very good to play out of. What a great course layout though, definitely worth the money.

Despite all the heat, the course is miraculously green and lush for this time of year...the greens rolled true and were pretty fast (we heard that there was a big tournament coming up...) Finished on a Saturday in 4.5 hours...and you can't beat that! Best recent feature: The bar at Goose Creek now has Stone Brewery IPA on TAP! My favorite golf course and my favorite beer...nice combo!
