Hidden Valley is a great challenge to all kinds of golfers, course is better than I've seen it in the past, great lay-out and different hole to hole making very entertaining and challenging. This is a course that will test your shotmaker's and putting ability, Definetely a go back. I rated a 9 + out of 10.

Played yesterday (Sunday 11/14/10) 7:12 4 ball and played in about 4 hrs. Course is in good shape EXCEPT sand traps, thin with rocks.

played course today, hot out there. water only twice on course which was a travesty. cart girl was around twice. course was in pretty good condition, but not to the level it's rated here on greenskeeper. i'd give it maybe a 6.5-7. it's a tricky course with a lot of target golf, and lost balls if your drive or approach is offline or a bit long or short. fun if you can hit it straight though, and most people can give the short dogleg par 4 on a back a whack at the green from the teebox. some crazy elevation changes, most holes are either hit it up, or hit it down. overall a pretty good round, wish my driver was cooperating today, would've been better.

Played Saturday 10-9, in a foursome with my father, and a couple we were paired up with. Tee time was 8:48am, went off about 10 minutes late, understandable for a weekend. Course was in AMAZING condition and this 17 handicapper was very challenged from the whites. Unfortunately we were behind another 4-ball that had no idea on pace of play. They seemed to always be too far away from their carts on cart-allowed fairway holes and lingered far too long on greens after they had putt out. No marshal in sight made for a 5 1/4 hour round (not bad but nowhere near good) as they always seemed to have a wide open hole ahead, causing play to slow for us and groups behind. Would absolutely play again, but more than likely on a weekday!

played Sunday10-10. First time playing Hidden Valley. Try to play most of the Inland Empire courses. This course stands out as an example of what proper care and good ownership can do. Outstanding customer service all around, got there at 8:15 for a 9:00 tee time got us out, a twosome in 15 minutes. Hidden Valley reminds me a lot of Lost Canyons in Simi. Only way better conditions and just as challenging. The greens probably running 11 or 12, were very fast and had many breaks that for a first timer caused many 3 putts. Very difficult to score on, would need to play here a few more times to get the proper perspective of some of the holes. All in all would rate this as the best course in the area along with Goose Creek. Congratulations Jay Miller.

Played today, third out, 4 ball behind two 3 balls. We never waited and never saw the 4 ball behind us. Played in less then 4 hrs. Course in very good shape. Worth the drive and the price.

Played 2nd time in last month. Still can't say enough about how good shape the course is in. This course is very challenging. You have to have your game together. If you are a 15 or higher, play the whites for good challenge and enjoy it. You are not going to look good trying to be a hero on this course.

Man - is it fun to read great compliments on our course. I did play HVGC once this week after playing 4 rounds of great golf in the Midwest, I just keep thinking my greens are part of a great dream, I am telling you, my greens are so good - it is simply stupid. The whole darn course is in great shape.

Bad news however, I talk to every customer I can, and 10% of my weekend prime time morning players told me their round averages 5.5 hours, I can't stand this, so we are doing something about this ASAP. Was a single and got on immediately. I can't believe this course wasn't full! OK, it was a weekday. I will definitely be back soon. High handicapers will enloy the views and the conditions, but, bring a vew balls as the rough quickly gives way to desert unplayable. However, Jay thas the rough plenty high to stop most balls quickly. I like that. As I am new to this area, I am on to play Goose Creek, Oak Glen, and Dos Lagos, but they will be hard pressed to meet this course in condition and value!
