Played Friday the 2nd at noon time. The palms course is the step child of the two courses, but is still fun to play. From the back tees it plays short. There is water on many of the holes on the front nine. The reviews had me worried but the course is in good shape. The greens are good and we had a good time. The customer service was terrible. The guys in the pro shop treat you bad like you are bothering them. As if they had something else to do. cart girl was very nice, but only saw her once. I will play here again.

First time on the Plams at Menifee. Some harsh reviews and it may be deserved but I really cannot say anything bad about the course. Yeah, some bare areas in the fairways but most were properly mark... Continue »

First time on the Plams at Menifee. Some harsh reviews and it may be deserved but I really cannot say anything bad about the course. Yeah, some bare areas in the fairways but most were properly marked as GUR, most greens were in good condition, semi-challenging layout, grass driving range, and decent eats. Worth an occasional round or two.

Pretty good course, in fact I like everything about it other than there recent jump in green fees over the last six months and sometimes there customer service lacks.

Played 5-15-09. Word around town was course was in poor shape, so I decided to call first as I had invited a buddy who had never played there before. The guy on the phone said he had played earlier that morning and the course was "Perfect". After waiting in line for 15 minutes while the moron (basic math way too hard for him) working the counter checked in a single ahead of us we finally made it out. Short version: Muddy bunkers, tons of thin/dead spots on fairways, greens so shaggy and bumpy you had to crush downhill puts only to watch your ball change direction a foot from the cup. "Perfect" what a joke. Finally we hit 18, it was around 6:30 and we had a tie in our match so we went to hole #1 for a sudden death tie-breaker. The marshall was sent out right away to stop us and he let us use his radio to talk to the desk...we said we had a tie breaker and asked to play one more hole...we were refused. The reason: he was upset because "someone" in our group drove his cart too close to the 18th green. Oh yeah it was the single he put with our threesome who was in his 70's with a HANDICAP FLAG on his cart. A member of the club overheard the whole thing and said "Oh that's Gary, he's a piece of #$& (at) ." He sure is and so was the course.

I played the Palms course on Nov. 18, 2008 it had just been opened from overseeding and the greens were ok needed to firm up and played again on Dec. 6. Big difference in the course. fairways looked good and greens were in great shape, running fast. They had just opened up the course and explained to everyone it was cart path only. In any event the Palms is in great shape and getting better each time I have played the course. Three times since 11/18. Think everyone should give Menifee a try.

I really do not want to sound like a jerk that never has anything good to say about a golf course. But it has been a while since I have played a decent track. Sure they tell you it was just reseeded and is in great shape, the greens were probably about a 5 on the stimp, my tifgreen bermuda backyard is probably faster. There are bare spots everywhere it was cart path only, I drove in to the rough at one point to look for a ball, and had the members (ie:the old people that live along the fairways and have no life but to sit at their windows phone in hand and watch for infractions?) calling the pro shop on me, saying I was driving all over the fairways. They sent a marshall out to tell me if any members call in saying that I am driving in the fairways again they would ask me to leave. Well you can have this Sh%# hole. I will never be back. I did shoot 82 thanks to a 38 on the back, and leaving 17/18 putts short just could not hit it hard enough. Ok I feel better. Maybe Goose Creek or Hidden Valley, or Eagle Glen up next. Hit em straight

Played the palm course on 10/19/08 Sunday in a tournament. The Fairways were horrible. There were lots of dirt spots and hard pan areas all over the fairways. For the cost to play this course it is not worth it. I will not play this course again untill it is in better shape.

Played on Sunday 8/10 as a foursome. The practice facilities, proshop, snackbar and lounge/bar are all very nice and I was expecting the golf course to be in similar shape but was somewhat disappoint... Continue »

Played on Sunday 8/10 as a foursome. The practice facilities, proshop, snackbar and lounge/bar are all very nice and I was expecting the golf course to be in similar shape but was somewhat disappointed. Greens are soft and in decent shape but are SO SLOW and the speed varied from green to green (form slow to extremely slow). I just had just a miserable time putting today. The fairways were just as frustating. Lots of bare areas but what was really maddening is that some areas of the fairways were are really chewed up. Twice I hit my drive down the middle of the fairway and had much worse lies than my buddies who missed the fairway. The course is has a decent layout with water coming into play on many holes. Overall I was disappointed in the shape of the course but for $34 (2 for 1 coupon) I'm not going to complain too loudly. I just won't play again until I hear that the greens and fairways are in decent shape.

Boy did they do a nice job getting this place back into shape. It is in great shape. their are a lot of divots around this place and the first green is in bad shape but everything else is awsome.
