Played with my brother-in-laws the day after Thanksgiving. I played in the summer and the greens were suffering! I loved the layout, but knew I wanted to wait until the course was in better condition. Well, the wait paid off. The course is in great shape, and the greens are looking very good--they could be a little faster. Maybe once they grow in more, they will be shaved. But that's me--I love fast greens. I hope the ponds will be filled soon. This will add another feature.

This place in one of the best. Unique holes, great views, friendly staff, and nice pace of play. To put things in context, here are some of the better courses I have played: Robinson Ranch (love the greens), Moorpark Country Club, Tierra Rejada (front nine is great), Tijeras Creek (back nine is a challenge), Lost Canyons, Black Gold (course beat up in August, but nice layout), Angeles National (intelligent holes), and Eagle Glen (suffering from dry summer when I played).

I will be making the trip more often. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy seeing God's creation joined with man's imagination.

Played on 11/25/07 which was my second time playing this course in 2 years. The only hole I remembered was #14 which still impressed me as much as the first time I played here. The weather was a perfect 72 degrees and no wind to speak of. I like this course very much as every hole is unique and has it's own set of challenges. Don't know why I haven't played here more often, but will definately put it on my places to play list. The only negative is the bunkers were not in the best of shape and some of the ponds were empty which prevented us from experiencing the best this course has to offer.

Played Oak Quarry today, 11-20-2007. Course in very good shape and greens are in great shape to. Hard to read because of the many hills surrounding the Course. Must place your shots carefully, if not your on the fairway, your grinding for par. Shot a terrible score of 79 but the Company was great. entering the GK outing on Dec 7, 07. Hope I do better but if I don't, no big deal. Its my first outing with the GK qroup and I expect to just have fun. I have to call into work that day "sick", hey I feel a cough coming on already.

Yesterday, 11/17/07, they let you drive back on the fairways. The winter-rye overseeding has taken well and the course has never looked better.

Yesterday, 11/17/07, they let you drive back on the fairways. The winter-rye overseeding has taken well and the course has never looked better.

The same goes for the greens. They've never "looked" better. I just wish they putted as good as they look. They're still pretty lumpy-bumpy by my standards.

If they could find some way to "transport" (a'la "Star Trek") the greens from Angeles National or Robinson Ranch to Oak Quarry..it would be by far the finest golfing experience around!!

Still, even if the greens are not perfect...the course is beautiful and overall in near-perfect shape! No complaints!

4-hours and fifteen minutes on a Saturday (there was a bit of a fog delay...that's common this time of year!)....never waited on a shot and kept in front of the group behind us.

Oh. On a side-note: I played like %$#@ I seriously came apart on the back side, starting with "The Slide" hole....NOT a good place to have your swing start its vacation.

I played this course on 11/10 at 7am. The secenary is amazing, and the condition is in super shape!!! The service was very friendly and helpful. The greens were very nice, tricky course and had a great time. We finished in about 4 1/2 hours with no one in front of us.

Played Oak Quarry 11/9 for my first time. I absolutely loved the course. Today was cart path only due to over seeding. The fairways were mowed yesterday for the first time so there were a lot of grass clippings. Little fairway roll but a very green lush course awaits you. Greens are healing nicely with no bumps, holes, or sand present however they are soft and medium-slow as they're still growing out. Bunkers were in excellent shape with their moist coarse sand. Tee boxes were level with the young grass still taking hold however finding low cut grass on the Par-3 boxes was not an issue. The posted price for a Friday morning was $75 but we were charged $60 so they might be having a special right now. If you don't mind the slow greens and CPO, this course is ready for winter play. The staff was friendly. It was definitely a very nice golf experience today.

Well we went back to play Oak Quarry on 10/18 and we were not disappointed! This is a great course with amazing visual holes. The greens are challenging as I stated before. You think you see a break and it is either opposite or non existent. Fun fun fun! The staff is the best. Here's what I like: They are closing the course for maintenance. More courses should do that or it defeats the purpose. I am looking forward to playing Oak Quarry more routinely. Even for us OC people it is only about 45 minutes both ways at the most. I highly recommend this course!

First time playing here. What a great course with spectacular views. The signature hole#14 was magificent. No problems. I would recommend this course to all players. Service is second to none.

My husband and I played Oak Quarry for the first time 10/7 and although the winds were blowing 45 mph, we enjoyed this course very much. We look forward to playing there again without the devil winds! The staff was wonderful, and outside of the wind the conditions were great. Despite the wind, we both played very well, however the greens were quite the challenge! Can't wait to back and conquer them. I was reading the breaks mostly opposite of what they were and the speed changed dramatically - probably due to the winds. Very Fun indeed.
