I was really impressed with Oak Quarry, especially compared to Phoenix courses. The one problem I always have about playing in Socal, is the "worth the money" factor. Frankly, I am usually disappointed, because when I spend $50-100 on a round, I would like decent conditions. Quarry definitely was worth the money.

Cons: Windy, but not really a problem with the course, just something to consider when playing.

Often when I play, I end up focusing on the places I’m hitting from- at times making it difficult to really evaluate an entire course. Sure the was some of that going on last Friday- but the consistent quality of QC is obvious.
Visually very challenging [target golf] in a unique setting. Absolutely top notch customer service. Would put it in the ‘must play’ category.

Played on 12/7 with GK group. Greens were nice looking but slow, probably because of the rain. Customer service and course maintanence were both top notch. Several holes are quirky that require experience or local knowledge to play well. The only negative is a punitive local rule that requires the golfer to take a drop with one stroke penalty if he hits into a "native area", which on many holes is barely off the fairway, on both sides of the fairway. Definitely not a course for a spray hitter, accuracy is a must here.

Played the "Rock" for the first time 12-7 in the gk tourney. What an awesome course! The views are spectacular. The customer service was outstanding. I thought the greens were great, fairways were lush,tee boxes top notch. Even the sand would have been pretty good except for all the rain . I should be an expert on their bunkers after Friday's round. I sampled many of them! We had a great time @ the GK event. Can't wait to go back!

Oak Quarry Rocks! Great scenery and location. It is definitely a shot makers course. The fairways were pristine. Keep it straight and don't be a hero. The undulating greens were soft, smooth and receptive. Sand traps had huge walls. Played with the GK Outing on 12/07. The course personnel were attentive and accomodating for our event. Marshalls did all they could to keep up the pace of play. However, there was one group... oh, wait, that was us! Sorry! Anyway, we all had a great time, the course was fantastic and they even let us drive carts on the course despite the rain. Probably should not have, given there were some obvious wet areas. Shout out to Ring, Johnny, TheBigDog, Oak Quarry and anybody else who helped with this event.

Gk Golf Gathering. Great event. Great Host. Even better hospitality. Staff was quick and attentive. Greens in GREAT shape. A little bumpy but if you put aggressively you can hang. Balls roll fairly true with firm puts. Fairways and tee boxes are immaculate. Traps -- beware. They are pretty bare around base but up toward the walls -- soft and fluffy. Pace of play was great for a rainy day. Conditions although could have been warmer was nevertheless a great value for the money. A definate must play on my list.

What a layout! What great scenery. This is a unique course that just can't be missed on your list of places to play. Only negative was that the bunkers needed more sand.

Course was in great shape, a little wet but it was raining. Plus it was cold. The attendents of this course are doing a great job, and the course was in great shape. The customer service is always top notch. we played as a shot gun start with the greenkeeper tournie, but the pace of play was a little slow. Still a great day, but with all serious players out there it was still interesting how people bunched up. Maybe it was the cold?? It was a great day and everyone was great to hang out with!
