Great course, great condition, great location. Customer service is second to none, and free range balls is a real touch of class and caring for the customer. Unless the course is undergoing some type of maintenance it is always in pristine condition. If you want to complain about ballmarks on the greens fix them when you see them. If everyone would adopt that philosophy ballmarks would be a non-issue everywhere, right? So spread the word, fix your ballmarks and quit your crying

One big problem here is an excessive amount of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. This is the fault of the people who play here and partly the managements responsibility. The hosts who sometimes drive around the course should be assigned this duty. We all know that an unrepaired mark takes days to recover versus taking a few seconds to be considerate. I would like to see please repair ballmark signs on each tee and mentioned by the starters. The problem is getting serious for those of us who like to play well conditioned courses. Putting is hard enough.

We had 82 Golf Course Superintendent's from around the L.A. and Palm Springs area play here yesterday. Many of them from very exclusive facilities. They were very impressed and complimentary with the conditions of the golf course. My peers don't make comments like this if they don't believe in them. Oh, by the way, I shot 68 from the blue tees and was two for two getting up and down out of the bunkers.

We play this track about once a month, trouble is in the good weather times you get to the parking lot and the wind has trees bent sideways,and we go back to Moreno Valley or somewhere and have a calmer day on the links. In the summer its freaking hot, but, we LOVE this course,,,I am an 11 and my buddie are below that. If a plugged lie screwed up our day I guess we would just quit the game and go bowling. I agree with EVERYTHING everybody has said, But,, name me a daily everyday regular golf course that comes close to PGA that isnt having trouble getting steady business. I can ony name one,, SCGA. and they have LOWERED their fees to compete. Soooo,, I do hope PGA gets things repaired, I really like the Legends, and for the $$ I dont mind a few problems. We travel a long ways, if this was a $90 course we would never go there,no way, no need to go that far,
Too many good courses much closer. So you see what I am trying to say is us MORTALS that are just regular 11 hdcpers are just trying to have a fun day with our buddies,, if the place upset me I would never go back, ever!!!!!!!

I want to clear the air for you guys that want an answer to the question, is it worth driving one hundred miles to play these courses? Yes, they are both great tracks and test every level of player. The facilities are great and so are the people, but there is a conditioning problem. Come play the course and see for yourselves. The fees are low and you will be well treated. Just dont tell me that I am some disgruntled crackpot because I have a critical eye when I see poor playing conditions. For players like myself, who have a below scratch handicap, the conditions effect our scoring ability. A shot that ends up in a muddy sandless hardpan bunker that is unraked can make the difference between a low score and an average day. Ball marks and sodded green collars due to inexperienced maintainance workers causes havoc to otherwise good shots. Has anyone ever seen a ground under repair sign or a limed area? Even the higher handicap players are aware of these problems. Suppose you were about to break ninety for the first time and your ball plugged in one of the dirt faces of the traps becoming unplayable or one of the areas where your ball settles in pure dirt depressions around the green leaving an impossible chip shot. Still, I say these could be the two best courses in S. ca. If only they could get their excrement accumulated.

Several of my friends and I are thinking about playing there in the near future and had leared alot from you. Do you play there on a regular basis? Did you used to work there? We are looking forward to playing there and letting you know what we think.

I think I like the Legends course better than the Champions. That stretch of holes that starts on the little 80 yard par 3 on top of the hill and winds down and around the countryside for the next 5 or 6 holes is amazing. It's like you are out in the middle of nowhere playing this beautiful golf course. To me, that's what golf is all about, escaping for a few hours into this beautiful setting. For some reason, the Legends also seems to be just a bit more polished than the Champions. The bunkers are a touch better, the greens seem a little easier to putt. Just a great experience and well worth the drive from the LBC.

Overwatered fairways and greens. Players do not rake the miserable traps. Very little sand, if any. Ball marks on the green make putting difficult. Players should be reminded of this before they tee off or hosts should repair as they drive around the course. The maintainance people drive their noisy gas vehicles past you as you are taking a shot. Poor instruction by the greenskeeper. Greens are mowed unevenly, especially around the edges where equipment has done extensive damage. Never saw a ground under repair sign. Divots all over the place. Why cant players be reminded before they play. Again, the hosts could do this. Tees have uneven footing. The rubber mats on the carts were polished with Armorall which made the surface extremely slippery and dangerous. Does anyone wonder why this course has gone from being number one to way down the list? Got paired up with a guy who shot a twelve on the first hole. Can you imagine playing with someone like that?

Played on 7/2 and the course was in excellent shape except for the greenside bunkers. For some reason they have been very wet the last couple of months, making them almost unplayable. They are a hazard so maybe we shouldn't complain, just avoid them. Very reasonable price for seniors before 8:00 A.M., otherwise the green fees are high ($75.00) even with range balls thrown in.
