I wish to address the condition of the bunkers. Because of the delopement surrounding the property, heavy rodent infestation has been a concern on the golf course. This is especially true on the bunker faces. This activity has caused soil contaimination in the bunkers and when mixed with the sand can sometimes make the bunkers surfaces hardpaned. Also, with this year's heavy rain events, some bunkers were silted in by material that came from the perimeter developement. Many of these bunkers had to be rebuilt. This has caused inconsistancies from the rebuilt bunkers to the original ones. Our plans are to renovate our bunkers when the opportunity lends itself. Played Sat.2/12/05 12;27 .We reserved champions course but cause of heavy rain they switched to Legends.First impression was less construction stuffs than champions. Only problem here is so far from my home(Cerritos) & work (los angeles). 1hour 15-20 minutes. They e-mailed me 50% off of birthday month promotion that I think use last week of month cause this week I have tournament at Los Robles. Nice course.

Even after the rain, the greens were firm & do not hold well. It doesn't deserve the 9+ immaculate rating at this time. Give it time to recover and hopefully it will be back in top shape.

The course is in nice shape but not the best that I have seen it. There's only a little bit of damage from the recent rains. I'd play there any day at $40 with a coupon. The sand traps were inconsistent. The fairway traps had fluffy deep sand while the greenside traps were bare and hard. The weather was perfect with very little wind. I think oak valley across the street may be in better shape right now. However, they may be the tops in the socal area at this time because of the recent downpours. The marshall seemed to be helpful in keeping things moving. Would recommend the drive to anyone in the LA area.

We made all day trek to these two courses and played both in one day. Both courses are immaculate. Only complaints: some of the sand in traps was very thin with lots of rocks; and, on some holes a thin black trim was exposed on edge of green. If you ball hit it, the ball popped straight up into the air. I think it's the edging around the green. In any case, customer service was fabulous. I had a hole in one on #8 (my first!). They gave me a certificate, will send out an announcement to their email club, gave me a bottle of champagne and the flag from the hole! How cool is that?
