Played the course, three days in a row. The greens were great, any previous note of small holes posted on greenskeeper was incorrect, not a hole to be seen. Greens were fast and breaking toward the casino away from the mountains. Great variety of holes, Stonehouse is a joy to play, just fire away on the tee boxes if you want a resonable 2nd shot, if you lay up off the tee you will have very few chances to score. The greens also hold very well, so fire at the pins. Overall the course was in nice condition, except for the tee boxes, unlevel and too many sand filled divots, filled to excess.
Course is in great condition, except for the greens- they are very slow. If it werent for the lack of speed on the greens this course is great, great price, great service and a great variety of holes.
Course was in good condition. The greens were nice and fast, beware, if you are on the wrong side of the green you will pay the price, stay below the hole at all possible costs. In addition, if the wind picks up the course becomes difficult at times.
This course is possibly in the best shape I have seen it in the past five years. The greens are great: fast, smooth and they hold very well. This course is once again fun to play due to its condition.
The greens are great with many tiers, the bunkers have great soft sand in them, but the fairways are a mess, i advise playing winter rules, and a couple of holes on the course have signs that say so. Even though the course is short the doglegs make up for the lack of length and the wind factor makes it a notch tougher. Overall, a fun little course.
Fun course, and great layout. Greens are not as bad as everyone says. Fast and smooth in my opinion.
The fairways are absolutely terrible. They dont even let you take carts out on the course in an attempy to let them recover. Its going to take a major overhaul to improve the fairways. Yet, the tees and greens are fantastic. I suggest playing winter rules in the fairways, if you are able to find a nice patch.
Overall the course is in OK condition, have seen it much better in the past. Beware of the bunkers, some are hardpacked with little sand to slide ones club under.
Heard the new 9 holes are open.
Played twilight on Friday April 21st. Finished the round in just over 4 hours. Course was fun and exciting, many blind tees shots and a great challange. Some words of advice include- listen to the GPS system on the cart, bring extra balls, and let the ball release off the front of the green, since they are hard to hold. Many undulating fairways, and no matter what you read on the green, always remember that the putts break toward the ocean, even on downhill putts away from the ocean. The sights are amazing, the softest bunkers I have ever been in. By the way, the cafe and restaurant are great, the food and service is good, and look for the young magician in the cage, he is amazing, ask to see the awesome flying credit card tirck. Overall, a great experience, great grass driving range, and great cart guys.
Great course. Just dont play in the dead of winter when its raining, hailing, and the temperature doesnt get over 45 degrees.
