Course overall in fairly good shape. They have been putting lots of water on it in anticipation of a hot spell. Thus it was overly wet in places. Greens were recently aerated, not with holes, but with a blade aerator. Speed was slower due to heavy watering and not being cut very short. Bunkers have been very good, but a few are starting to get baked and a little thin in spots.

Played Fri Jul 26th had 2 tee times 654 and 704, only 5 showed up and starter left us go out as a 5 some. Thought that was nice. Check in quick and friendly as we have cards for $35 senior rate, good deal. We followed a 4 some and were held up and pushing them most of the day. The 4 some behind us never saw us on the back 9. POP was ok at 4:13 so really can't complain. Course was in acceptable condition. Tee boxes and fairways not bad. The rough was grown out and it was difficult to find the ball at times. The traps had good sand, but it was very wet. The greens were very wet, two had standing water on then and on 17 we watched all our tee shots plug up to half the ball as they hit the green. We got up there and the green was spongy and we left foot prints, not conducive to a smooth roll. We play here allot and service in the restaurant is always great as they know us.

Greens are in great shape as well as the fairways. Though I wasn't in any bunkers my playing partners were and it looked like there is plenty of sand in most bunkers. Great Customer Service at check in with a great Gps on carts (at no additional cost). I give this North side today a Thumps up.

Played Tues April 2nd at 718, we purchased the players card here so we get $35 price for senior for both courses. If you play here allot it is worth it as prices have gone up. Got to the 1st tee with a 4 some in front of us and we go ,OMG it is going to be a long day, their 4th guy must have been a beginner as he put his 1st ball in the parking lot before it reached any of the trees, his 2nd hit the cart building. First 3 holes were really slow and we waited on every shot, then on 4th we waited to tee off to give some space and they stayed a hole ahead of us, my guess is the beginner stopped playing all shots, maybe just putted. IMHO it is cruel to bring a beginner to a course like this, too difficult, a beginner should start at a place like paradise knowls. POP was not good at 422. We played the whites and the tee boxes were moved back on all holes. The rough was long enough to be penal and was very difficult to find the ball. Greens need a few more weeks, very bumpy on a few holes, traps not good. .... last year the card gave us the North course for $30 and the south course for $35 this year both are $35

Played Fri Feb 22nd at 7:50. We usually play at around 7 but delayed it for an hour to get warmer weather. Well that worked but when you tee off later you have a better chance to get behind guys that play at a slower pace. It was a 4:40 round, IMHO unacceptable. We saw the older marshal on 11 and he didn't seem to be worried about it, saw the head marshal after the round and he was not happy. I know it was cart path only, but that is way too long. As for the course, the weather was great, but the course was beyond wet, it was soaked, casual water all over the place and muddy lies every were. I usually wear shorts, but wore long tan pants that day, mistake, took 3 washing at home to get all the dirt off. Even as wet as the fairways were, I was in a few bunkers and found 2 that were getting allot of sun and were nice, 2 others had standing water. Hole 13 is the dogleg down for the snack bar, during summer you can cut the corner and roll down to the fairway, not now growth is very thick on the hill and you will get stuck on the hill and maybe loose your ball. The greens rolled real nice, just big ball marks.

Played Fri Nov 30th, had a 7:07 tee time, check in was cart path only so I decided to walk the course since I blow up mentally when CPO, never walked this course before so wasn't sure about it. Just walked Chino Creek last month and NP. The front nine was not bad, but the back nine had a few holes that were a challenge, when asked by my buds if I would do it again, I said maybe if CPO, but no just to walk a course and enjoy it, I like walking Goose Creek, Paradise knowls, both el prados, and both mile squares, but this did feel like a little too much work for a 66 year old, lol. The course actually handled the rain fairly well, yes there was water in most bunkers, buf there was a lot of rain and they had people out ther with buckets and hoses clearing them, fairways fine, greens rolled good, rough was long in some cases (and soaked my shoes ) and wet. POP was 4.18 ok for 1 walker and 3 riders, guys behind us never caught us, on the side note i heard the desk guy explaining the club card and what you get and he said the rates will be going up in 2019, didn't say to what.

Played Los Serrano North on Saturday as part of a big scramble tournament so don't take any of the POP issues to mind. Clearly these things take forever, but in actuality, the tournament got done right around five hours or so, which was shocking.

We played combo tees more or less as there wasn't a great deal of organization about the event, but as for the course itself, was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Arrived to see pretty lush and green fairways with some dried out areas, but plenty of good lies throughout the day. The nature of a scramble means you usually don't see a lot of the bad areas, but from what I did see of the rough and bunkers, they looked good and hit and miss, respectively. Tee boxes were not the most level and some were chewed up pretty bad, but others were just fine.

The greens were not particularly fast on this Saturday, but they did hold shots very well and rolled mostly true with a few bumps and cuts along the way. The greens at Los Serranos are not overly tricked out in any way - what you see is what you get. A few sloped greens here and there but nothing too sinister.

Carts were nice and they have GPS but it's generally of the useless variety outside of seeing the hole's general shape. You can't touch a spot on the screen for a layup or a hazard and get the yardage - so what's the actual point? Not a big deal … just be nice to have that feature.

I still have yet to play a competitive round at either Los Serranos 18 but that will happen one of these days. I still understand the South course to be superior but the North course is plenty fun in my opinion and is currently in good enough shape to be worthy of your visit.

Played LS North today 10/24 with a 8:42 tee time. They were re-paving the parking lot on this day and had to walk a little further but nice to see the improvements being made for my home course. They are also trying to improve some of the fairways as well. A couple of fairways had roped off areas where they were they were clearly trying to repair burned out areas.

The course was very wet this morning which results in mud where there is no grass. Actually lost control of my cart as I was heading back from the fairway to the cart path because the area I drove on was heavy, wet mud. Slid for about 6 feet. Also affected roll out on drives. Nothing better than wet kikuyu eh? 2 feet of roll out! Yay!

Tee boxes are ok. Bunkers were pretty damp. Again, some had heavy wet mud.

Greens are in good shape right now. Some were bumpy but for the most part, they rolled well. Held good shots but didn't hold thin shots.

The course was so wet we thought it had rained the night before. Since that didn’t occur, not sure why it was necessary to saturate the place. The new management group has now taken over and the jury is still out on them. Cost cutting seems to be the theme. They closed the snack shop on #7 north during the week. Disappointing actually. Lets see what else gets cut.

Always have lunch after and as usual, it was very good. The girls in the restaurant are great. Ashley, Melissa, Jackie, enjoy your company. Stop in and get a meal when you are there. Great service from all!
