Played in a tournament early on Saturday, August 7, 2010. Started overcast but warmed up quickly, becoming warm, sunny, and not too windy. Usual conditions here - OK fairways, tees, very little rough - some fairways are very dry and coulfd use some water. Ironically, a long-term problem here is overwatering in some areas - some sloes and low areas are constantly mushy. At least the majority of greens don't go 'splat' when you pitch to them, like they did a few years ago. Greens were medium fast and held shots. Not too many unrepaired ball marks. New green on number one is a great addition - maybe they'll start redoing some of the other flat circles. Many new bunkers have been added over the past couple years - most could use more sand, as many are almost hardpan. Blue tees 7500 yards, so bring your big drive. No cart person - snack shack after 6 and 15. Needs more on-course restrooms - there aren't any that are reasonably close at the turn. Driving range on grass most days, and they've expanded the putting green, although with ~25 cups on it it looks like a dwarf forest. Starter still waits till you are in your backswing on the first tee to yell for you to get going - a Los Serranos classic. Recommended.

Played Monday 7/5 at 11:23 AM, GolfNow $44 rate. Course is in great condition from tee to green, with the exception of a few firm bunkers. A couple tee boxes were ragged as well, but they were on longer holes where you'd tee up driver anyway. Pace was slow due to the holiday (and the group ahead), 3 hour front and 2 hour back. Called the starter on the 4th hole requesting that a marshal be sent to speak to the group ahead of us about their slow play, and nothing was done. Other than that, I still really like this course, and will be back.

Played Sunday, 6/06 at 10:30 w/GolfNow $50 rate. Starter got us out right on time, finished in 4.5 hours. Fairways were thin in places, and the bunkers were all very hard. Aside from those things, the course was in great condition, especially the tee boxes and greens. This course is a great, fair test of your golfing skills, with many grip-it-and-rip-it holes mixed in with a few that really make you think. Will play again soon.

good holiday deal, course was in great condition..only 1 green sanded for some reason..all others were great. bunkers were fairly good but a few were "crusty"..but other than that ..los serranos always has one or both courses in great condition. i would play here over green river any day..worth the drive...a good challenge

Played Friday 04/09 afternoon with aeration special $27/person. We thought the greens should be OK after 2 weeks but we were wrong. Greens are bad right now. Would wait at least two more weeks before playing this course. I normally love to play this course but not Friday. They must not be doing anything on this course until the greens are recover, fairways and rest of the course conditions are below the average. We played few holes on North course as replay rate. Greens are healing very nicely. Speed is normal. Fairways are better than South course. Wait couple of more weeks on South course. North course is OK to play now.

Played today thursday afternoon. Greens were recently punched a week ago, so recovery time is about 3-4 weeks. Other then the greens, overall conditions of the course is pretty good. Pace of play today was about 4 hours. It would of been faster but the threesome in front of me didnt let me go ahead of them(single). I watch them tee off on every hole. Geez thanks for not knowing proper golf ettiquete. Anyways, blue tee boxes play about 7100 yards, but somehow this course plays short. Only tough holes, are the 4th and 5th hole that tends to be in the wind. Jacks black play 7600 .

Greens were hard, but rolled very true. great views of the snow capped mountains. pro shop staff was great, but missed the super hot counter gal who was working there last time! $29 to walk. a deal! play it before they punch on the 30th.

I played the course Saturday the13th. I haven't played the South Course in a year or so and was surprised by the changes. The first green has been completely rebuilt. It has been moved back about 20 yards and has a lot of contour. There is a tier on the back right that is more or less another green. The green itself is in pretty poor condition right now. It looked as though it had been “shaved” and there were some bare spots. The rest of the greens were smooth and fast but hard. Time to aerate I assume. The fairways were tight. The pond in front of the 8th tee has had all the reeds removed so those low water skippers might make it to the other side. The 8th tee has been rebuilt and is lower. The big fairway bunker on the left side of # 10 is gone and a lot of new trees have been planted in its stead. The course remains a great test of golf and it doesn’t hurt if you are a long hitter.
