7:15 AM tee time. got out on time, as usual the front desk is tops, starter was cordial, no one in front of us. The morning was misty, and cool. The fairways were lush and wet with dew, ball did not travel much, they were mowing as we played. The greens were lush, at times mushy, and bumpy, a few unfixed ball marks. The bunkers did not have good sand, the rough was longish, and wet making it difficult to get out. Pace of play was perfect, about 4hrs to finish. Green fee with 55 Club card makes it a great value. Everything was a nice green, looking real good right now.

Played there on 10-15-11. South course is almost back to normal after aeration and overseeding. Course is looking very nice. Greens are very good. Course plays long of the blues and it's challenging enough. Great price at $25 after 2 PM. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Round was under 4 hours after the 5some in front of me let me trough.

the good: teed off 12:15 and finished a little over 3 hours...the bad: bumpy greens, very soft and severely affected putts, i saw my playing partner's ball take a vertical hop about 3 inches off the ground...needless to say the greens weren't at their best...fairways were very thin, had alot of "bad" lies from the fairways which never is a good thing...and oh yes having the marshall questioning why i was playing the "jack's blacks" tees wasn't very nice...he claimed you have to register in the proshop that your a "5" handicap or lower in order to play from there...needless i've played over 100 rounds at this course in my life and i've never heard of such nonsense...usually marshalls and staff are very nice here...except this one! at a competitive golfer and +2 handicap it was just a little annoying at the time...will be back but not soon

Played yesterday afternoon. It was a hot day. Not many people teeing off when i teed off, but we caught up to a log jam on hole 9. Didnt want to follow the slow group(s) so ended up playing the front nine twice. Course is in decent shape considering all the heat we've been getting. Greens alittle bumpy, but rolls good, fairways alittle dried out and not much rough. Bunkers are crusty on top, but pretty good. No cart girl today but saw many drinking fountains. The water in those fountains is the worst tasting water.

Played on Friday the 19th, very slow play, course is not in very good condition. Alot of bare spots to avoid. The one good thing is the customer service.

Really interesting course. Lots of elevation change. Extremely long if playing from the tips (7600+). Tee boxes were in good condition for the blues, whites, and reds. Black tee boxes were spotty due to lack of golfers using them. Fairways were in good condition. The course is fairly open for driving, not too many trees lining the fairways. Greens were soft and held shots great, but became more and more bumpy as the day wore on. Definitely worth the green fee and would play again.

A single behind us, but we let him play through on 4 or 5 then saw no one else the whole round. Greens were in great shape, but the fairways left a bit to be desired. Would be nice to see the fairways fill in with some decent grass. Can't complain too much as we got a GREAT rate. Good day on the course.

Was back out at Los Serranos South today, June 28th. We teed off at noon and finished at 4:20pm. Round was quick even though we caught up to a SUPER SLOW foursome at the 12th. Wind came up just a little and that made it both challenging and fun (at least when playing downwind) and it cooled us down since it was about 85 degrees out there. Greens were in better condition than when I played a month ago. Still love the layout - it's definitely a power hitter's course...just rip driver on every par 4 or 5 (except #7). Fairways, tee boxes, rough, and bunkers were in good shape too. My next round will be on the North course...dying to give it a try.

Played here on Thursday (06/02) to finish collecting on the birthday swag - thanks again GK. Tee'd off in the afternoon at 3:00 PM for a nice twilight rate for my buddies at $25.00 including cart. Birthday boy was complimentary! Decided to play the longer of the two courses (South) and it was in great shape heading into the summer.

This Par 74 course plays about 7300 yards from the blue and offers a slope rating of about 134. Not the easiest of tracks but, it's wide fairways compensates for the long yardage - especially those that like to really put their woods to work!

Hole #1 and #2 are Par 5's and birds are very likely if you can keep it somewhere down the middle. Wide greens can add confidence when looking to land their third shot. Pin placements on these two holes have always been generous with minimal protection from bunkers. The greens are relatively flat with virtually no undulation.

The course is in great shape. Aerification was performed about 3-months ago and the greens have healed and are rolling medium to medium/fast. I still don't understand why people don't fix their own ball marks! Fairways are nice and tight and will allow for some decent roll. Bunkers have nice fluffy sand were actually raked each time I landed in the beach.

Seems most (if not all) of the construction is finished. Fairways and rough were nice and green (with minimal browning) which, shows me their irrigation system is being used! You can score on the back 9 because it seems easier IMO.

No beverage cart attendant but, there is a nice snack bar before the turn. I always recommend loading up on snacks before the round because most courses are cutting back due to the economy. Pace was alright and we finished the round in just about 4-1/2 hours.

Overall, a great day. 54-holes of complimentary golf in 3-days. Probably the best birthday round(s) I have ever experienced. I can't say enough how valuable this site has been in terms of maintenance alerts, member reviews and the birthday round list!

Take advantage of the swag. Heck, I even got free ice cream from Baskin Robbins to top it all off.
