Was able to beat the crowds and get off first thing Monday morning. Very busy, and considering the shop did not open until 5 minutes prior to my scheduled tee time, (despite being there??) I thought that was poor form. However still got out and we played in just a tick over 2 hours.

What a wonderful day. Even at 6:15 it was 60 degrees out. NO WIND which is frequently an issue here. Overall the course was probably in as nice condition as I have seen it. The greens were particularly tough today, as they had some very difficult pin positions. (Or maybe I was just out of position?) Hard to believe its December. Just love Southern California weather !

Played 10/18/14 with an email special price of $54. Tee time was set for 11:15 am but was able to get out about 20 mins early. I had showed up a little early and noticed there wasn't really anyone going out on the front so I knew pace should be good and it definitely was. We didn't see anyone until the 8th hole and they were already on the green. Once they saw us they must have sped up because we did not see them the rest of the round. We even let a twosome play through when they caught up at the 10th after we stopped at the snack bar and they were gone pretty quick too. Ended up finishing in just under 4 hours at a very relaxed pace as a threesome.

Course is looking a little rougher than normal. First thing I noticed on the 1st tee box was it was really thin, uneven grass and bare patches. This was the case on all the tee boxes and usually the tee boxes here are great. Rough was really shaggy and uneven. Tee's and rough definitely needed a cut. Fairways were perfect though I didn't hit many. Freshly mowed and plenty lush. I was in two greenside bunkers. One had about an inch of soft sand and hard beneath, the other was perfect. Greens varied quite a bit. A few were really pocked up and I watched a couple of my playing partners putts take some pretty big hops however the rest were very good and running pretty quick. A lot of the shrubs near the houses were cut down a lot so even some really bad shots into there could be found. Weather was great, about 85° with a slight afternoon breeze.

Sierra Lakes is a great course!!! Its wide open but fairway hits are a must since their rough are fairly long. The rough is what makes this course difficult. I love all their par 3s over water... They are pretty pricey but its wirth the green fee. Its definetly maintained really well. I really enjoy playing this course. Its a top notch championship course. Their practice green and Driving range are in phenomenal condition. No chipping green which is a bummer.

A little pricier than courses in the area, but definitely a cut above with possible exception of the Quarry. Best conditioned golf course in the vicinity by far. Playable and friendly layout. Greens rolled well, medium speed and accepted approach shots even from longer clubs. Nice soft fairways. So so bunkers like most course. Terrific and huge breakfast sandwich made the first few holes a challenge.

Played here on 5/31 - 2pm tee time. Was the first tee time behind a small tournament - POP was 4:45 min. Course is in nice shape tee to green. Greens were rolling fairly quick, but it was a bit hard to make putts as they are still a bit bumpy and the ball bounced as it rolled (could see the punch pattern still). Still, for $39 in the afternoon, I felt it was not a bad price.

Teed off at 9:30 Easter morning. Not very busy today. No waiting at any tee box. Restaurant buffet had more interest. First time here. Very pleased with everything about this course. Nice layout. Fairways are very forgiving, as we did have a novice in our group. Greens are pretty quick. Sand in most the bunkers was light and fluffy. Just an enjoyable day in the IE for some golf. Will be at the top of our list of favorites.

Played 4/18 had 8:07 tee time and got out around 8:20. POP was close to 5 hrs. Due to the guys ahead of us easily hole and a half behind by the turn. Never saw a marshal Cart was around 4 times.

Played 4/18 had 8:07 tee time and got out around 8:20. POP was close to 5 hrs. Due to the guys ahead of us easily hole and a half behind by the turn. Never saw a marshal Cart was around 4 times.
Tee boxes were good except the par 3's. They were a little beat up.
Fairways were nice. Very green and no bad spots that we found.
Bunkers had plenty of nice soft sand but several of the larger ones only had one Rake?
Now to the greens. About half of them showed marks from being punched recently. All of the greens were fairly quick but VERY bumpy. Really tough to hold a line.
I always enjoy this track but the greens were a disappointment today.

Played Saturday w/1:15pm tee time but was sent out at 1pm by friendly starter. Got paired up with two other singles. Course was busy but POP was a steady 4.5 hours. Not unexpected for a weekend. Most aspects of the course are the usual good to great Sierra lakes condition. Tees flat and lush and well rotated. Fairways were great and provided nice lies all day. Rough was not a problem in the first cut. Second cut had some really juicy spots that could swallow up your ball. Bunkers appeared to be good as well. Greens were the low light today. Bumpy, full of ball marks (new and old), rolling at medium pace. Our group had several putts go bounding off line. However the course is planning to punch the greens starting tomorrow so that may explain the poor (for Sierra Lakes) condition. Will be back as soon as the greens have healed. Always recommended and always a deal to be found online.
