Played Tuesday morning at 10am for $39 through email special from course. Surprisingly busy today but the course was moving pretty well. POP 4.5 hours but had a nice flow all day. Never really had to wait too much and group behind never pushed us either.

Course is really lush and green from tee to green right now. Tees (black) were perfect. Lush, level, and flat. Fairways were also very lush as was the rough. Some areas of the rough were pretty juicy so beware. Was not in any bunkers but they seemed ok. Greens were a little disappointing considering how nice they usually are here. Somewhat bumpy from old improperly repaired ball marks. Medium speed today but overall still pretty nice. Customer service in the shop and snack shack were excellent and efficient. No beverage cart today. Overall course is still better than majority of courses this winter and I wouldn't hesitate to come back soon! Go play!

Craziest thing I've ever seen. Played Sierra Lakes on Christmas Eve. Used the last of our Costco coupons. It was not an ideal day to go and play golf. The wind was blowing very hard and theirs a 3 hole stretch on the front that play directly into the wind.The course condition was ok. Everything was pretty average but the layout was pretty enjoyable. Now i witnessed the most out ragest things in my round. We got stuck behind a tournament of about 12 people. They were just ruining the course and it looked like it was there first time ever golfing. They were driving on the fringe of greens, having 10 people in the fairway, putting the whole tournament group on the tee box at the same time, drifting in the fairways. Bizarre!!!!!!!!! At 9 we asked the starter what was going on and he said he couldn't do anything because they payed a lot of money. We told them we were leaving so they gave us a rain check for the last nine holes which was fine, but was not impressed by the way they handled it.

Played at 9:15AM on Sunday, 11/10/13, on a perfect day for golf - sunny, mild, and almost no wind. Agree with previous reviews on course conditions - they are very good throughout. Greens were receptive early and firmed up as the day went on, rolling true at medium-fast speed. I've never had a bad experience with course conditions here over playing the past several years. Traps were a little damp and had not been raked in the morning but were very playable with adequate sand. Excellent breakfast burrito. Holes 1, 9, and 10 were path only (STILL!!!) and I think the course should be able to resolve these maintenance difficulties. No reason for these to continue to be CPO. Recommended.

As always, the conditions are Sierra Lakes are looking excellent. Played THUR 11/7/13, and the tee boxes, fairways, and green were very nice. Tee boxes looked level and smooth, fairways were immaculate with almost no dry spots, and the green were very fast! I was striking the ball very nicely, but was having a hard time holding the greens because the firmness of the greens. Talking with some locals who were in my group, this was likely due to two straight days of blistering winds earlier in the week, which likely dried out the greens, making them very firm. But they looked excellent and rolled true. Service in the clubhouse was good.

Played Sierra Lakes on Friday, October 18 at a great price of $36 for a 7:15 tee time. The pace of play was 4:15 and a very comfortable pace. Had a two in front and back of us and we were a threesome. When we finished the course looked like it was getting crowded and backed up.
Tee boxes - good shape, but could use a little work.
fairways - in good shape, but with the morning dew were wet and soft.
Rough - good shape and consistent, not many bare spots.
Bunkers - was not in any fairway bunkers, but was in a few greenside and the sand was fantastic. I wish every course had traps like these.
Greens - with the morning dew, the greens were soft and bumpy from foot prints. As the day went on and they dries out the greens got better. The first couple of holes had many pitch marks and didn't look like repairing marks is a priority. as the day went on the greens did get better. Some of the pin positions were just diabolical and short puts had to be hit firm.
Overall It was a great day and well worth the price we paid.

Not much excitement in the layout. Wide, wide fairways and flat clear openings - sort of a wide field with flagsticks. Very, very slow, Took over 5 hours (Tuesday morning). Two groups ahead of us had fallen quite far behind but marshal refused to do anything. My playing partners said that this playing speed was 'par for the course'.

Course is in good shape as other reviewers have noted. What stood out was that there weren't as many ballmarks as usual. Either people are getting better or it was a slow day. This course is about as player-friendly as it gets, with very few forced carries, and generous fairways. It's a golf course that's nice and enjoyable for all handicaps.

Played here on July 27th around 1pm. We were 1st out after shotgun tournament ended so we played in just over 3 hours (by 3rd hole, never saw group behind us again). Course is in good shape throughout. Only complaint is the number of unfixed ball marks - greens are soft so even short pitches (10-20 yds) cause a small mark. But when I fixed the ones in my line, the putts did roll well. I'm no agronomist, but it seems that courses could actually firm up their putting surfaces by applying less water (especially greens of bermuda grass). So if you don't mind fixing some ball marks, you will enjoy the course right now.

Played today 7/25/13 @ 3:45pm for $25 using there email mailing list rates. I didn't think the course could get much better last time I played there but it sure has, or at least the fairways and rough. Fairways were very lush. Dare I even say near Oak Quarry fairways! Rough keeps filling in more and more and was grown out a little longer than normal, maybe around 3". There were a couple bare areas in the rough that looked like someone had peeled out in some wet soft spots. Tee Boxes had just been sanded and are pretty thin but should fill back in pretty quick, plus they are all level. I was in one greenside bunker and one fairway bunker that both had really good sand in them. Too much though in the fairway bunker, enough to see the poof off the tee. If I had to complain about anything it would be tons of ball marks, so many people here just don't care. I would say maybe they don't know since there were so many but every pin has a smaller "Please fix ball marks" flag on them. Other than a few bumpy putts the greens were holding everything, even out of the rough from 180 out. Green speed was a little slower than normal but consistent. Some areas of the greens up around the collars had small bare spots, I'm not too sure what causes that but they kept the pin positions well away from those spots. Pace was nice at 4 hours with a couple groups in front of us and wind never picked up more than a club. If you are waiting to check this place out the time is now.
