Greens were a bit sandy and actually saw a greenskeeper drive a large carpet looking brush over the greens after we holed out.
Tee boxes were a bit hard but still enjoyable.

Played last Sunday, and all in all course is looking good for winter. There are some dry yellow patches on tee boxes and fairways but not much. Starter got us out exactly on our tee time, and the greens were rolling nice and true. Some bare spots on the greens.
The 18th green was completely covered by duck feces from the pond next to the 18th hole. But despite that the course looks decent.

Played 12/15/13, weather was perfect. Service was excellent, pleased with all staff interactions. Tee boxes were all level. Fairways and rough we're generally good but there were dry spots on a lot of holes. Greens were rolling true. Very quick, with just a few areas needed some extra water.
As always, the conditions are Sierra Lakes are looking excellent. Played THUR 11/7/13, and the tee boxes, fairways, and green were very nice. Tee boxes looked level and smooth, fairways were immaculate with almost no dry spots, and the green were very fast! I was striking the ball very nicely, but was having a hard time holding the greens because the firmness of the greens. Talking with some locals who were in my group, this was likely due to two straight days of blistering winds earlier in the week, which likely dried out the greens, making them very firm. But they looked excellent and rolled true. Service in the clubhouse was good.
Played Thursday Oct. 31, and the course is in pristine shape. Tee boxes are nicely level, fairways are plush green, and the greens are immaculate and fast. Pace of play was right around 4:15, as I was in a group of three. I went on as a single at 10:00 am, and got out right away. One thing about the Champions course is that on holes 6-13, you are going into a decent headwind, and it took me at least three or four holes to determine the amount of club needed to reach the pin. After 13, you turn back towards the clubhouse and ride downwind. But those holes 6-13 are tough if the gusts reach 10 -15 mph.
