Played at noon 2-7. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. I don't know what I was expecting, I guess because Los Serranos was so ratty lately, to see green smooth tee boxes and fairways that looked like they should. The greens were excellent color and receptive. I felt like I wanted to fix everybody's ball marks so that the next players would see how nice they were. I usually do that anyway but more so yesterday. The pins were tucked in some tough spots, They had a tournament in the morning, must have made someone mad... The greens rolled true, hard to read some of the breaks, medium to fast speed (downhillers were speedy)
Tee boxes were smooth and flat with no issue inserting tee into the ground. Pace of play wasn't so great, just about five hours. The temperature and some wind later in the afternoon made it uncomfortably cold but I enjoyed the day overall.
I saw a beverage cart after our round at the clubhouse but never out on the course. Walked on as a single, and they said I can get you out right away, cause if you wait any longer it will be really slow cause the tee sheet was full for the twilight rate.
Good layout, pretty wide fairways, bunkers were excellent. Some patchy grass in the rough here and there but where it counted, tee/fairways/greens the conditions were right. I will be back for sure.

Customer service is always good here. Starter does a great job and is super friendly.

Overall the course is in very good shape for this time of year. Yes, the fairways are browning, but they are more than playable. Greens were super smooth and fast. Rough is down but still present and mostly level. Bunkers are fluffy and well-groomed. Tees are perfect.

Great place to play as always.

WINDY!!!! cold and windy.. maybe 20-30 mph winds... course in pretty good shape... rained on Sunday for an hour or 2, course mostly dry today. greens quick, in great shape. fairways had plenty of unfilled divots, but if you're not in them, the fairways are otherwise fabulous. Finished in 3:15. very nice time.

Just a couple weeks later but a little rougher around the edges. Some brown spots, some unevenness in growth and a bit more signs of wear than just a couple weeks ago. Still good, looks like some maintenence had some time off. Must have been the rainy day making everything look better last time cuz doesn't look as good this time. Traps and greens still terrific.

Simply awesome. The head greenskeeper and his crew are to be commended. Course condition is near flawless. First time here. I will most certainly be back as much as possible. Read the past two reviews. I won't get long winded repeating everything they already said. They are spot on. Greens barely had a mark on them. Just some repair around a couple edges, no big deal. Absolutely fantastic playing conditions. I am honestly blown away.

Played on 12/9 @ 8:45 am. Starter let us out early. Course is very lush. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Greens were fast @ 10 to 11. Rough is unexpectedly grown out below 2.5 inches so if you miss the fairway it is very hard to hit your approach shots. Layout includes good mixture of long and short holes for par 4's and par 3's. Customer service was good and cart girl came by more than 5 times. The wind was swirling today making for a tough day to gauge distance. Pace of play was 4.45. If you come for their specials in the afternoon, I think that when POP gets much slower.

Will definitely return, but it's pretty far drive for me. Play now!

Overall in very good shape. Customer service was also very good.

Points:
1. Fairways were lush with the exception of many un-repaired divots that were very deep (2"-3"). Definitely the players fault since divots come out nicely when hitting your ball (so easy to replace) and the course provides a very nice sand/seed mixture for you to use.
2. Greens ran fast and true. There are some spots being patched by the course, but none that were near the hole placements. Good job SL!
3. Rough was about 2-1/2" tall and lush, but if you hit it wide of that (which is a pretty big miss), you can have a hard time finding and then playing your next shot... very deep!
4. Tee boxes and bunkers were all in excellent shape.
5. Excellent clubhouse with good food and drink.

Summary:
Hard to find better conditions than this place most times of the year, but right now, it's definitely on a better level than most others.

Played on Saturday, Nov 24 and found the course to be in good shape. I think this is the first time I have played here and the was not a breath of wind.
Tees: good shape with very little damage.
Fairways: better than good condition, very little divot damage or bare spots.
Rough: a mixture of dormant and green grass, a few area the rough can get very deep, but over all the rough is in good shape.
Greens: best I have seen then and a blast to putt on. Rolled very true and the speed was fast. The greens are receptive. I repaired many all marks and a few of the greens had some repair on the outer edges, but with the shape and speed the greens are, ball marks and repairs didn't really bother me.
Bunkers: only in one fairway bunker and it was in good shape.
Pace: 4:45. Tee'd off at 9:15, 15 minutes ahead of our scheduled tee time.

Overall I can't wait to get back here and pay again.
